I had the exact same thought...
-
Mine does that too. They cut the slots for the arm-leg connectors too far back, so the arms are basically pulled out of the joint.
-
I'll just throw in my opinion since I got one today (the wave 2 Max). BROKEN shoulder out of the box. VERY STIFF, to the point that I swear I'm gonna break the head/neck trying to move it. Missiles glued funky (the little 3-missile sets). It's a cool toy, but unless you can get one for under $20, then skip it for now. I do think for the money, it's decent, but not great. Now I have to complain to Toynami and see if they'll send me a new shoulder connector. I may have to try to scratch build some armor though if Toynami waits much longer (wouldn't mind just making some kick-ass armor for it anyway...)

Here's a link. Not the greatest pic, but okay. I think you can get the recast of these for about $50 + Shipping. http://www.hlj.com/product/KYDGK-03

Not sure really. But I do know it's not beyond the realm of possibility considering Kaiyodo has already made a ZOE model kit (at least one), so they already have the sculpt in about the right size for these figures too.
-
Will it actually be available on Sunday, or is that just the release date/shipping date?
-
Wow. ZOE Revoltech figures would be awesome! That game has a cult following, so they'd probably sell pretty well too...
-
I'll agree that the figure and bike for CM's look slightly better, but the combined mode for the Megahouse one just puts them miles apart. MH just looks so much more dynamic that CM's can't even come close IMO. Plus, the size and paint on the MH one make it the winner in my book. I might buy a CM one if I could find one for $30, but not anything higher than that (so if anyone wants to sell me theirs for that price, just PM me).
-
Okay. Didn't really know that b/c I've never had problems with them and I've seen them put Order Stops on some items that they are worried about filling pre-orders for.
-
My understanding of the HLJ system is that you have 14 days to claim that pre-order once the product arrives before they sell it to someone else. I might be wrong on that though.
-
HLJ is usually really good about making sure that they have enough for people who pre-ordered. They usually have some for people who pre-ordered even when the item already says backordered or out of stock.

Well, I'll definitely be getting Stick, Yellow, and Hoquet. I think CM's still looks cheap, costs too much, and has just as many "issues" as the MegaHouse one. The only difference is that I personally prefer the look fo the MegaHouse one. I even think I may make some weapons for it after I get it (like the cannon thing from bike in the Shadow Chronicles). I just think the MH ones looks so much more dynamic than the CM ones. Beagle "could" blow both companies out of the water, but we'll just have to wait and see if they deliver a product that has top quality and looks nice too. I had an idea, would it be possible to pop off the rubber tire and put some lube on the inside part of it so that the rubber rotates freely around the other part?
-
Seriously, out of all the people on these forums that "know people", isn't there anyone that can get the lowdown on these from Toynami? Just bought a wave 2 Max, so I need that Blue Armor dangit!
-
WTF is up with two companies producing motorcycles that don't have spinning tires? Would it really have been that much more difficult to add rotation to them?
-
Actually, I was basing my comment off the photos posted today of the released figures, which appear to have goofy faces/sloppy face work with crossed eyes and a purple visor instead of a blue visor. I'm still getting one b/c I love how the armor look all put together, but if they screwed up the visor color, that's pretty bad. Can't be too hard to mix blue, there are so many examples out there to base your knowledge off of.
-
Wow, it does appear Megahouse has dropped the ball too, at least on this first wave. If they come out with a "fixed" second wave, anyone here plan on complaining to the company to try to get some freebies? And if they are affordable, I'd be down with buying the recast parts. Maybe I should try to make a cannon for mine like the Shadow Chronicles???
-
Did you find a good picture of the ARX-8? All I've found are far away shots that don't show much?
-
You know, even if Toynami does "plan" to release these stateside, I'll gladly pay the $10 more to get mine now instead of never. I honestly doubt Toynami will ever release these stateside b/c hell, they can't even release their own products that have been completed for over a year (fast packs), so why/how would they justify doing this before they release those?
-
Any word on PRICING of the Toynami MH release or when they will be released Stateside? I still plan to stick with my pre-order from HLJ, but I'm curious to know what Toynami is doing.
-
Actually, local hobby stores probably have that kind of stuff to buy for a diorama. (My local one does/did at least) I hadn't even noticed that the tires were different.
-
I want the flight pack too! That would complete him! I still want some good pictures of the Arbalest ARX-8 too! (and a release date)!
-
Awesome, Gurren Lagann mania (again)! Anyone have better/up close pics of the ARX-8 Arbalest (the red figure at the top of the display) from Full metal Panic?
-
Wow, glad I chose MegaHouse. I love how dynamic they look while still retaining a good bit of anime accuracy. Even though they aren't perfect transformation, they are beautiful, so they get my money. So, did anyone find out the official release date for the first two MH cyclones (and maybe a tentative one for the blow superior) Edit: Fixed the spelling. I had forgotten how it was spelled, so I just copied the spelling from person three posts above mine.
-
Honestly, I think the price should be right around $25 from the reviews I've read. That's about as much as I'd be willing to pay for one of those things.
