  1. Laser discs, baby! Contrary to popular belief, not all the OT box sets suffered from laser rot. You might get lucky and find one that is still pristine, I know mine is. Also, the LD box wasn't the only SW releases on that format, the individual un-enhanced films were also released individually back in the 80's, but those could be a pain to track down. I suggest waiting until Lucas releases them on DVD. And yes, it will happen. But only after Lucas is done thoroughly milking the SE DVD's.
  2. So, do they have the original Macross intro played to Robotech music?
  3. That's exactly what I was thinking. I think Harmony Gold's primary purpose here isn't to sell more toys, but to force BW's hand in resolving the DYRL license issue. After waiting 19 long years, this issue could finally be resolved by the year's end. From HG's standpoint, this is a win-win situation. If the courts rule against them, it won't hurt them as they've never pushed DYRL merchandise (worthless comics excluded). But, if somehow, the courts rule in their favor (imo, an unlikely situation), they stand to exploit a whole slew of merchandise at a fraction of the cost. Personally, I'm thinking that HG is hoping that Big West will try to resolve the issue out of court by selling them a DYRL license for x amount of dollars.
  4. If someone forced me to buy one, I would definitely go for Milia. I love the red color Yamato gave her valk, but Max's blue is too light for my taste.
  5. My answer is B. The only other VF-1 I'll buy at this point will be a 1/48 Elint or Ostrich. Unfortunately, Graham said that this will probably not happen. I'm just tired of repaints, at least the latter two will require some new molds.
  6. Hey Blaine23, I've got a few Macross artbooks at my parents house (both TIA Macross Plus', the Gold Book, and some random SDF books). I'd gladly sort through them for suitable images if you'd be willing to show me the best way to scan them.
  7. Nope, I won't be getting these. I'm happy with my 1/60's.
  8. With the exception of the opening them song and Minmay's DYRL in the final stage, all the music in the game is 100% original. I have to agree, Scrambled Valk has some of the nicest vidgame music out there.
  9. Good question. While there's still no official word, all of Yamato's recent 1/60 Valkyries have all come with pilots, so I suppose the GBP will follow the trend. Also, we have no idea if it will be a TV or DYRL pilot. If anyone here knows for sure, it's Graham.
  10. The story goes that Harmony Gold was planning on making Orguss into Robotech II. As Harmony Gold did not have a contract with Studio Shinsha Productions in 1984, it's unlikely Orguss was a consideration for the original Robotech broadcast. Whether HG failed to secure the Orguss license, or the episode count (35) was too short, Orguss was thankfully never incorporated into Robotech. To be honest, a small part of me had hoped that Orguss would've gotten "butchered." At the very least, the show would've gotten more exposure. I mean, there's no such thing as bad publicity, right? (runs away from the torches and pitchforks)
  11. I was thinking the exact same thing. It would be a tragedy for SDF Macross to have such a lavish box while DYRL, FB 2012, and the 20th Anni. disc all flopping around by their lonesome selves. Out of all the series, they fit best with SDF Macross. Here's one vote for a 12 disc box set.
  12. Too curvy for my tastes. But he did an amazing job with her amulet.
  13. I'm down for both box sets. Even though Animeigo had little artwork to work with, it doesn't change the fact that their box design sucks ass. And, I highly doubt Mangle will do any better, even with a plethora of artwork. Again, count me in!
  14. Old news. Anyways, like SuperO said, Disney is innocent as all they handle are that marketing and distribution of Pixar's films. Given Disney's non-existant role in the creative aspect of Pixar films, I don't even consider Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc. et al to be "Disney" films. But I digress. While I feel terrible for Franck le Calvez's book sales, I think it's just an incredible coincidence. I wonder if this newfound media attention will, in any way. affect the sales of Pierrot Le Poisson Clown .
  15. My vote goes for 1/60. Yamato toys need some standard, instead of being scattered all over the place. 1/48 is nice, but too much of a novelty and far too impractical for other mecha like the Destroids and Zentraedi. OTOH, 1/100 is too small for Destroids and VF-1 Valkyries. The 1/60 scale is a nice compromise of the two extremes, in detail and more importantly: price. I personally think 1/100 is another scale we don't need to deal with, but I don't care since I'm 99.9% certain Yamato will release a larger scale VF-0. What that scale will be, I don't know and I don't care, just as long as it's not 1/100. For now, I'll pass, my money deserves better than 1/100.
  16. Which codec do you need to view the movie? I've downloaded the latest divx and xvid codecs to no avail.
  17. I actually saw it last night (got free tickets) and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The premise is completely ludicrous, but if you're willing to suspend belief for a while, it's an ok movie. The first half of the movie, regarding Kutcher's past, was forgettable. Also, every character was portrayed as an extremist. For example, there's the extremely "bad" guy and an extremely "good" girl. The characters were lacking in depth. I guess I enjoyed it because I've often wondered about alternate realities myself.
  18. Nice stand.
  19. Even better, just go their website and read about it. http://www.pcsx2.net To give you an idea of where things are at right now, 1 frame per-second is considered fast.
  20. Procrastinating.
  21. Like mechamaniac said: If bare male breasts are ok, then I see nothing wrong with women's.
  22. Hey! I thought that was going to be our noob avatar!
  23. Being fanboys, we can all relate to this fella. Besides, pigs make great mascots.
  24. LOL! Looks like it! Like I said before, HLJ and other Japanese sites are the places to go for scoops, not MW. Anyways, it's good to see more TV Valks get released. With the exception of the CF, the 1/48 releases closely mirror the 1/60 release order.
