Man, I have a 19" and I couldnt even see the whole thing before. 1600X1280 resolution is just too small for me. I cant read... damn my eyes. Unfortunately... everyone isnt that fortunate. Some here even have 56k still. Its just nice to keep it on the smaller side so everyone can see your great CG work without waiting half an hour or scrolling their window 5 ft -> that way. Btw, cant wait for u the finish. Its looking great so far.

I still like 21 myself. IMO, I actually like the triangle being there. Glad someone else liked it too. Unfortunately with the given amount of space of the top, it'll be quite difficult cramming in the cockpit pictures up there. It seems that a bit of people would still like the Sharon Apple and Mac Plus triangle on both sides. I'll try to whip something up really quickly for you guys and if enuf ppl like it, we can ask Mechamaniac if he would allow it to be part of the last vote. I love it, I had actually asked Paul to do a variant of #21 where the Blue Triangle replaced the character triangle that is there. I am probably alone, but that character triangle is probably my least favorite piece of Mac Plus artwork. OH, and nothing is final go ahead and rework 10 as well. I did not mean to specifically exclude it. I think the only one we can specifically exclude based on votes is #18. You know... what you said got me thinking. This IS a 3 DVD case, there isnt as much as a need for a picture to be on the top as there was for the 9 DVD SDF Macross case. You could even do without the character triangle completely.

The spine gave me a lot less space to work with so I made a slight change to 21, everyone who voted for 21, tell me what you think. If you want me to remove the macross triangle, let me know. Problem is that theres a lot of empty space above Isamu and Guld if the triangle is removed. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

If there is enough interest, Paul may let us do two. We chose designs two for the SDF case. Only if more people actually buy the M+ case. The turnout for theSDF Macross boxes was much lower than expected to make it worth having two designs. Doh... that sux.

Heh... the "fin" looking thing is actually a large laser gun. I just didnt draw in the details. Hmm... maybe I should draw it from a different angle. Anyways... I was thinking of making the top canon laser moveable like the YF-19 so I dont think it'll look TOO bad. Just lots of pointy things at the bottom of the plane. Keep it up with new heads anyway I was thinking, if you want inspiration, you should watch in the macross zero direction, kawamori did very cool looking heads and the vf-0 has the same head position of the vf-1. However if you want to create a Macross 7 fire bomber Vf-1 custom head.... just don't do it Hahah... thanx. I wasnt trying to go towards the firebomber direction... I see what you mean tho. Hahah... ugh... Back to drawing board. I'll check out the Zero heads. I remember them to be pretty damn cool. Thanx for teh suggestion.

Yeah, I thought about that too. But I wanted to keep true to the VF-1 line since all of them had lasers. I'll sketch some more later but I'm not exactly filled with ideas. I gotta say that Kawamori's Macross Design Works covered almost every aspect of what a VF head could look like imo... Oh yeah, if you guys want to suggest some ideas I can try to sketch some out to see how it comes out. I'm just actually doing this for kicks. I dont even have a 1/48 Valk yet. *Gasp*, I know... taht should be illegal for all Macross fans but I just dont have the funds now. I'll get one... eventually.

Actually, I wasnt using the VF-19S as a reference but I guess it looks taht way since the VF-19S has the most lasers on its head compared to any VF out there. I just wanted a lot more lasers cuz after seeing it put into use in Zero, I thought head lasers were just awesome. The design actually has a mixture of lots of heads. Imo, it reminds me of any design with a visor. YF-19, VF-19, VF-17, VF-1S, etc... I wanted to design a head with a visor but the problem is that its difficult making it look original since kawamori covered most of the areas of what a visor head could have. I'm not the biggest fan of the VF-1A/VF-11 one eye head but like it enough that I might tried to design one of my own later...

Just trying out the head to see how'll it look.
