  1. Yeah, me neither. I'm not big on the techie or colored spine desert myself. I'm just pumping out ideas. Feel free to chime in some more! Like this?
  2. Letters on the front and back maybe?
  3. Heres going back to my cockpit on spine idea but less noticable.
  4. "Techier" one but w/o the desert at top. Btw, #3 people, all of these spine/top ideas can be added to #3 as well. Just let me know which one you would like to see.
  5. Heres MrDisco's idea, colored desert and all.
  6. Heres to goofing around with more "techier" ideas...
  7. what i meant by not making sense is that the perspective with relationship to the background just doesn't work for me. edit: cockpit design but with full colour desert, remove the macross text and place a smaller blue pyramid in the center.. Heres MrDisco's suggestion with the triangle. I still cant get the desert to be colored and look fitting. Anyone got any suggestions? Oh yeah, I forgot to ask... for anyone who liked #3... anyone have any suggestions or is it fine the way it is?
  8. We've already tried the full color desert and as I've said before, theres too much contrast and it doesnt work well. I'll see if I can make it brighter in some way or something tho. Basically I'll see what I can do. No promises tho. I like the pyramid idea. I'll try that out. Where on the box are u talking about? Are you talking about the top, as in above the spine? I'll know what you mean for it to be more "tech like" so I'll see what I can do with that but unfortunately, I have to say that I dont have a lot of pictures to work with. Thanx! Good to see its growing on someone else too and its not just me! Absolutely not. We still have one more case that we need to agree on so please, submit away. Hahah... I still think its funny that I didnt know about getting the free case thing until Mechamaniac mentioned it and congratulated me on it. This is what I get for joining MW 6 months late into this thread... and then not read the whole thing. Anyways, akt_m if you're really interested in helping out. Feel free to help out, suggest, contact me, etc. I know I'll appreciate it. I need all the help I can get. I'm so glad I finally got in contact with Paul. I get to have suggestions and ideas from the big guy himself. Something on top? Where on top? Above the spine? I need details... heeeeelp meee... Hmm... saving $$$... that brings up a question. Anyone know how much this is gonna be yet? I'll most likely buy both. After Paul let us have two designs, I cant let his gracious gesture go unnoticed. w00t... thanx for contributing akt_m!
  9. The cockpit design is starting to really grow on me. Tell me what you guys think.
  10. Lets try to get this topic back on track!!!... ... ..... ....... SooOOoooOOooo... Guuuuys... Have you seen the new Yamato Monster toy? Its like... cool and stuff... yeeaaah... okay, so I suck at this. Sue me. So... anyways, I'm loving the pictures you guys are posting up. Anyone planning to do any custom jobs with their monsters yet? Color schemes... etc?
  11. has anyone got the isolated background images of the YF-21 and YF-19 ? I´ve looking for them for a long time , are they scans from the hasegawa kits ? I haven´t got any of them so if someone could help it would really be appreciatted Cheers I'm not too positive which post you're quoting since its just smiley but are you talking about this YF-19 and 21? Theyre from the hasegawa box. I have pictures of the hasegawa box if you want them.
  12. They were in the desert and they tested the YF-19 and YF-21 in the desert. Makes perfect sense to me. If anything is weird, I would go with the two faded floating heads in the sky. Also, just because its not symmetrical doesnt mean it looks bad...
  13. Toonz, I hope you didnt mind me changing it but I felt that it was a bit discolored. Anyways, looks like I'm not needed here anymore. I think Toonz got this wallpaper thread well taken care of.
  14. For those who want to see box 1 in action. Paul has graciously with lightning speed, sent us a little teaser. Behold! Design number 1 in all its glory. THANX PAUL!
  15. Theres several reasons why I didnt have it in the first place. First of all, sharon is already on the cover so theres no need for her triangle. 2nd, theres already a triangle on the box... and the more important one. 3rd, the red stands out and has too much contrast with the rest of the box and it doesnt fit in too well. Lastly, IMHO, if there was going to be something on the spine, it'll be characters or designs that are not already on it such as guld and maybe a bigger picture of isamu. IMHO, i like the simple clean design. I like the less is more idea. Made it just for you tho. If everyone else likes it, we can keep it in. I didnt know where you wanted it but hes a idea of what it may look like.
  16. ATTENTION TO EVERYONE WHO LIKES NUMBER 1: This will most likely be the final design. Is there anything that anyone HATES and MUST change or add something? If not, this will be the FINAL design.
  17. NEW VOTE: 2 or 3 Those who voted for 1 can revote! MrDisco, could you please revote? Please only pick one. If not, I'm going to assume that you want the first number you put first which is #2. Thanx. Number 1 was far ahead in votes and I will start on tweaking it.
  18. The VF-5000 does not appear in the Macross Plus OVA or movie, although a VF-5000B did feature in the Playstation game 'Macross Plus Game Edition' (released 2000) as a player selectable mecha. The only anime appearance by the VF-5000 was the Zolan Galactic Whale Patrol's VF-5000G (single-seater) & VF-5000T-G (2-seater) in the 1997-8 Macross Dynamite 7 OVA. Oher console games that the VF-5000 has featured in are: - The VF-5000B was in the 2001 Dreamcast came 'Macross M3' as a player selectable mecha. The VF-5000B was also in the super rare 'VF-X2 Special Edition' (year 2000), of which only 1,000 copies were released and available only as a mail-in campaign prize (I have 1 original copy ). As Renato mentioned, the VF-5000B was to have replaced the VF-1 in the US version of VF-X2, had that game been released. To date there have been no toys of the VF-5000 and the only model kits I'm aware of are: - The VF-5000B, was really first made famous IMO by Studio Half Eye's 1998 1/100 scale Perfect Variable garage kit. Yellow Submarine also released a 1/144 scale resin Fighter mode VF-5000G garage kit sometime around 1998. Yellow Submarine also planned a 1/144 scale resin Battroid mode VF-5000G garage kit, but I'm not sure if it was ever released. The very first time any lineart (fighter mode only) of the VF-5000 was published AFAIK was in the 1995 'Variable Fighters Aero Report' section of the 'TIAS Macross Plus book'. Okay, do I win any prize for knowing all this useless junk? Graham Hahah... its signs of a true Macross fan.
  19. It buuuuuurns... AHHHH!!!... Hehe... sooOOooOOoo... Godzilla, who do you want me to kill? Haha... anyways, seriously. Crazy collection. Very nice. Signs of a true Macross fan.
  20. #1 Number One has made it into the finals so we will start the tweaking.
  21. I think we're getting a bit side tracked again. So, lets have this vote so we can move onto the tweaks. Remember, nothing is FINAL. No suggestions... YET. Please, just VOTE.
  22. w/o the text and guld/isamu on the spine? which design are you looking at? Theres one w/o the text and guld/isamu is on the left panel but none with guld/isamu on the spine. I didnt number them cuz they were just for Anubis and Mechamaniac to look at. We can number them later if theyre popular enough.
  23. You kno, i was thinking... i think isamu and guld might look better back on the spine. Ill clear up the titles to let u see what it looks like. I already tried it and imo, it looks empty w/o it. Just my 2 cents... for what its worth. edit: took out the titles for you Anubis. IMO, this one is still pretty high on my list as well as the one w/o isamu and guld. Both of works for me.
