Problem is that you have to paint them... again after you cut them off the sprues. Thats why most people dont do that...

Well, when it comes to the SHE YF-19 kit which is one of my favorite kits... the only mode IMO that has a better kit out there is the fighter mode made by either Hasegawa or Club-M. As for the battroid mode, I like it better than the Wave or B-Club battroid mode since it looks more like it does in the anime... well, to me anyways. So... lastly for the gerwalk mode... there isnt any other kit that exists so I gotta take what I got. So for me, at least it got 2 out of the 3. I think I would be more for non-variable kits if Hasegawa has a gerwalk and battroid mode for every Valk out there... then theres no reason for me to say this and that and the only "advantage" for a variable kit would be that it transform but it'll prob lose in every other aspect such as detail, size, proportions, etc...

It says 1/100 but its not. Its a bit bigger... no one really knows the true scale. Its sometime called non-scale.

Probably it taked more time then the actual yamato box arts Very nice Box, but that Hikaru & minmay is just odd, they didn't writed it on the 1/60 box and IMO they will not write it on a 1/48 box. Hahah, I'm surprise that wasnt the dead give away when it was first posted. Changed it.

1D box would be sweet... just a suggestion here...if anyone is customizing the 1D box, can he/she as well customize a 1S Max box?....im sure many people here would want to see their max 1S well kept in the appropriate box aaajin PS: Id be down for one if anyone would recast the 1D cockpit~! If that is a real Yamato Box, I'll jump for joy, if that is one designed by you...damn, I don't know, I'm speechless. I currently have a job facilitating Japanese students who are here to learn English and surprisingly enough, none of them have even heard of Macross. Theyve heard of the other popular animes but not Macross. Its was really weird. I was seriously really surprised. I starting to think that Macross is almost at its end... period. Blasphemy I tell you. As long as I have children it will never die. Haha... yeah, well there is always us to keep it alive. I was talking about more anime on Macross. I'm starting to think Zero could possibly be the last one. I hope I'm dead wrong. I'm still hoping for a new series of Macross sometime within the next couple years.

Although variable kits come with a lot of problems (ie, screws, paint scratches, difficulty building process, joints becoming loose over time, etc) I'm still a sucker for variable kits. For me, its all about obtaining a "perfect variable" copy of what it was like in the anime. So for me, although theyre not the greatest as a "pure model" just for making, coloring, and displaying but I love variable models pretty much for the engineering of it. I know as soon as I finish making one of my SHE kits, I would just look at it in awe by the way it reminds me of the anime and how someone actually made it into a physical object. So in the end, its just a different type of eye candy for me. Models tend to be the "omg, its so real looking / you have mad painting skills" kind of eye candy and variable models are more of the "omg, its variable and transforms just like how it did in the anime" eyecandy. Thats the way I see it...
