It would take more than a simple Vortech blower to get similar performance out of a stock GT. The Cobra will be pushing 500 hp out of a blown 5.4. Its essentially a detuned version of the Ford GT motor. Pricing for the Cobra hasn't been announced yet, but the previous gen Cobra was such a screaming deal that it nearly killed off interest in the Roush, Saleen and Steeda tuner cars. The scary thing is how much more power they're going to be able to get out of the Cobra by getting rid of the restrictive manifolds and exhaust. Should be a very cool car.

How many miles are on it? 5speed or automatic? I have the gut feeling $2,500 is a bit high, but I haven't looked at RX7 prices in forever so who knows. The 'verts are fun cars, slow as balls though.

I'd been biting my tongue on this subject, but I found it ironic that the original poster was talking about showing their 13-year old step son some of the fan-art on the forum after certain members made such a hissy fit a year or two ago about the "inappropriate" content people tended to post in the fan art section, which effectively scared away/pissed off a number of the fan artists result in the relative lack of fan art we now experience on the site.

I totally agree about the air-cooled VWs, they're very awesome. Unfortunately, once they switched over to FWD liquid-cool cars, they turned into over-priced eurotrash. The exception being the early GTIs. The Volkswagen Type 181 "The Thing" is probably one of the coolest cars in the world:

Kind of ironic how many people hate on Macross II because Kawamori wasn't involved with it, yet much of those same people dislike macross 7 and/or Macross Zero. Kawamori obviously isn't flawless...

What I was saying is that it likely wasn't kawamori who chose to put Macross II music in Macross 7, since his involvement was limited during the production phase.

Damn dude, you're right. Kawamori obviously has no idea what he's talking about, glad you're on the case to sort things out! Seriously dude, he said he never watched Macross II, he has legitimate reasons for not watching it, what else do you need? EDIT: Also, keep in mind Kawamori was not directly responsible for everything in Macross 7. By the time Macross 7 started production, he was invovled in Macross Plus. The individual scripts were not written by him and the episodes were not directed by him. That certainly explains the use of Macross II music (they needed BGM to fill in an episode, pulled it from the music they had rights to).

Yes, according to Kawamori himself as of 1995, he had yet to watch Macross II. I'm guessing that if he had yet to watch Macross II by then, he probably hasn't since. He's a busy guy, and I doubt he really cares enough to watch it.

Good, now, considering that the PS2 is the biggest video game console in the world and Sony likes to make money (obviously, since they like screwing over companies with patents to they can make MORE money), there's no way in hell Sony would allow PS2 controllers to disapear off the shelves. Whether or not they have the vibration feature, or some new feature, I have no idea. But really, you're worrying about nothing.

You got screwed when Sony released the second-rate, piece of junk controller with the PS2 in the first place. Sony broke the law, they deserce they're come-uppance. Simple as that.

Anyone who has seen both can tell you that, its glaringly obvious. Kawamori must be a psychic then, since he's never even seen Macross II. From an interview with Takashi Oshiguchi, dated 1995. Er, where'd you get that from? has Kawamori ever stated that Macross 7 was influenced by Macross II, or let alone, that he's even SEEN Macross II?
