Take MNDN's WaiWai articles with a healthy dose of salt, as they're all taken from Japanese tabloids. Pretty much like using Weekly World News to hlep understand America, doesn't really work.

All we hear about are bad stuff in this section

I think I accused him of having his head up your ass. But there's a difference between 'kissing' and a 'rimjob,' or at least that's what Duke's mom tells me. -
Variable Fighter Spartan Destroid

This is way better than my stuff. That strip is from the first Antarctic Press Robotech comic. -
Cannonball Run was a surprisingly good movie. My friend and I rented it a few months ago and enjoyed it way more than I thought I was going to. I don't think anyone has mentioned one of the most dramatic and unique movie cars, the M-505 Adams Brother's Probe 16 from A Clockwork Orange. One of three made. Two low for regular doors, and containing way too much wood.

I'm a little disapointed no one mentioned Haruhiko Mikimoto's sweet hair in that picture.

Er, and?

They did get upgrades in the last episode, but the problem is those designs are surprisingly similar to the 2040 ones so hence the confusion.

Going to the subject of the DeLorean's engine, I went to a fansite and noticed that many owners junked the PRV engine (which was actually reliable before DeLorean molested it) and placed different motors in the car, whether it's a pushrod or rotary. One guy even dropped two engines in his DeLorean (a Honda VTEC in the front and a Cadillac Northstar V8 in the rear). Don't know how much performance he's getting on that setup. Yeah, there was a 3-rotor Delorean up for sale a year or so ago. The problem is the stock motor really didnt match the "supercar" status they were trying to go for, and just turns out to be a pretty mediocre vehicle. A friend of mine from Northern Ireland told me they call the Delorean "the big mistake," or soemthing to that effect.

Evidence, please. nah, Togo, you're not worth the time... Awww, Exo, don't break the poor kid's heart. -
... And just out of curiosity, what makes you think you are stronger than me? Oh man, please let this turn into an real-life strength poo-talking thread. Because Macross World hasn't sunk NEARLY low enough lately...

Problem is once you get beyond the dumb doors and stainless steel exterior, you realize it's just a mediocre car from the 80's with a horrible engine. $37,500 is insane.

Funny thing about the Charger in Bullit is that the same Charger was used throughout the entire chase scene. On the other hand, the production crew went through a handful of Mustangs because they kept breaking down. Surprised more people haven't mentioned the Delorean from Back to the Future yet, but just as well as Deloreans really, really suck.

any news on Berserk season 2?

Love the job that's being done with it (I'm so glad DH didn't use Studio Proteus), but the one volume every three months thing really blows. Whats wrong with Studio Proteus? -
Robotech used in a Public Service Announcement

That may be the most outragous thing ever said in the history of MW. Do the mods know about this!?! This guy must be French or something... (no disrespect to the French intended ) And we wonder why so much of the world hates us... -
I totally agree. I think at the time the original Robotech game was being put together, the only system that could have done it justice was Mekton and that had all the rules for making your own mecha, so it was kind of irrelevant. I don't touch D&D or any WoTC stuff unless I'm desperate. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay has always been the end-all fantasy gaming for me. Certainly not the best rules (and really wouldn't work very well in any other setting) but leaps and bounds ahead of the competition of the time (AD&D 2nd edition was absolute garbage). Last I heard Palladium lost the Robotech license or let it expire because HG wasn't letting them release any new supplements. Makes me wonder if any other company will bother to release a new Robotech RPG, and if the market is even there anymore for anyone to buy it.

I'm really not a toy guy at all, but my love for Bubblegum Crisis is far greater than just about any other sci-fi series there is. If those figures end up being half as good as they look, I'll definately pick them up. The larger scale ones more-so, as I think Exo and I came to the conclusion the smaller Yamato-developed toys were based on the BGC2040 series and I couldn't give a rats ass about that.

The problem with the Palladium system is that it came from Kevin's own largely-fantasy homebrew system he used in campaigns with friends. I suppose in Palladium's attempt to maintain one constant system, some things had to be sacrificed, in this case decent mecha combat. Really, when you think about that it's pretty unexcusable. Oddly enough, when Siembieda approached HG for the Robotech license, Steve Jackson Games was negotiating with HG for the Robotech license, but that fell through and Palladium ended up with it.

Just like DYRL...

Well, obviously. Unless you're a yound adult living in Japan, you're not in the target audience for Macross 7. Or just about any anime series, for that matter. All you guys (not referring to you, Sundown) going on and on about how lame Macross 7 is without bothering to give any justification makes you sound like the losers who made fun of the retards in elementery school because you had no friends. Some people never change I guess.

I question it's authenticity, the videos and pictures are really bad quality and why would a test walker have a faux chain gun on it....? -
Directed by the guy who directed 'Enter the Dragon,' no less. "THE KILL OF KARATE."

Gymkhana predates both drifting and autocross, as autocross came out of gymkhana and drifting as a "sport" is still a pretty new idea.
