  1. Good for you, still doesn't change the fact that the official romanization of the name is MOSPEADA. So while the rest of the world looks on at you with confusion you can rest easy knowing that you know better than the Japanese creators of the show. I've only seen a few episodes of MOSPEADA. but wasn't it an acronym of some sort? I vaguely remember seeing some model kits or something similar with writing to that effect.
  2. Subaru sucks with warranties as well. The ironic part is that they gave out SCCA memberships with the WRX, but if you actually raced the car they'd try to void the warranty. My friends 04 WRX with less than 20k on the odometer had to get his transmission replaced and it was an uphill battle to get them to pay for it. They initially refused since he had a blow off valve, and we all know what big power gains you get from a BOV. Still better than the reliable of a Shitsubishi and the horrible way they treat EVO owner's.
  3. You're right, the difference in the States is that no one buys Gundam stuff, regardless of age. In Japan, Gundam is viewed as a children's cartoon by regular people. My tutor laughed at me when I told her I built Gundam model kits. Not to mention, given the lack of success with Gundam in the United States and elsewhere, I doubt Sunrise is giving much thought to the international market as they're deciding what the next series will be.
  4. The death of Gundam will come, probadly, when the X-Gen/otaku people die 30-40 years later. 311889[/snapback] That won't change anything, Gundam isn't aimed at the older/original fans anymore it's aimed at young kids. That's where the money is. The people who grew up watching the original series are in their mid-30's, and I doubt many of them care cartoons anymore.
  5. The future of Gundam should be death. It's outlived it's purpose.
  6. Yokosuka isn't that far from Tokyo, is it? There's a ton of stuff to do there, what kind of stuff do you want to do? Just stay the hell out of Roppongi. Hah. Bleh, edited to remove word censorship. What is this, Nickelodeon?
  7. Hahahahaha, a Jetta. Funny! While I'd trust Subaru's reliability over Mitsubishi's any day, the Evo is a more interesting car than the STi. Better race heritage, better handling, the bad-ass factor of not having a warranty...
  8. Ford was really trying to replace the Mustang with the Probe? While the Probe had it's merits and the Mustang wasn't exactly in it's prime when the Probe came out, it just seems like a very odd choice.
  9. Not a big fan of the cocktail cabinets, little too old school for me. I guess its a personal thing, I love the Japanese style cabinets. Much for comfortable to sit down if you're planning on spending some serious time in front of a game, in my opinion.
  10. I'm aware of the importance of weight, but in a straight line the weight can be overcome with power (as you said), which is why muscle cars can weigh a lot and still make decent runs down the quarter mile. In a handling-oriented car, weight can't be offset as easily. If it's heavy, it's heavy, and it's probably going to handle like poo.
  11. When I was last in Japan my friend nearly convinced me to buy the Saturn port, simply because I could play it and then resell it on eBay and make some profit. I declined, just as well since I ended up being short on cash. Cool! I don't have the money or space for an arcade cabinet right now, but someday I'd sure like to. Japanese cabinets are so much nicer than their American counterparts.
  12. It's a pony car, not a sports car. It's purpose is to go in a straight line, so weight isn't as important. As for LordKungfu comparing the WRX and the Mustang... you're completely missing the point. They're very different cars designed for very different purposes.
  13. Oooooh, Radiant Silvergun. Damn, that was probably more reasonably priced than the Saturn port. Very cool collection. How do you import your cabinets?
  14. Funny you bring the 2.5RS up, since the original came riced from the factory more than any other car I can think of. Again, still not the same kinda car. The V6 makes a lot of sense, since I'm guessing A7 wasn't planning on racing it anyways. The V6 has better gas mileage and lower insurance.
  15. I agree, Giren's Greed is definately my favorite Gundam game and even though I trudged through it in Japanese on the PS1 I'd gladly jump at the chance to play the thing in English.
  16. The stupid poilers and ground effects on the WRX don't count as factory rice? The Civic SI is a poor choice for performance anyways, it's FWD and overweight. Not to mention it looks like a two-door minivan. Not to mention, if you were going for straight performance you could get a lot more car than a WRX for the same money. I'm guessing the style and looks of the Mustang are what's appealing to A7, and in that respect the Mustang beats both the SI and WRX considerably. Not to mention, everything I've heard is that the new V6 is quite competent unlike it's craptacular predecessors.
  17. You're kind of missing the point of a Mustang, as neither a Civic SI (blech) or WRX are remotely the same kind of car as the Mustang, nor do they have the same sense of style and design the Mustang does. Never thought I'd say that about a modern Ford, hah...
  18. There's no way Halo 3 is going to come out this winter with the XBox 360. It would be nice, but it's not going to happen. From everything I heard it seems like Bungie's next game will not be a Halo sequel, and they got upset when Gates made the comment about Halo 3 being released when the PS3 comes out.
  19. $400 is too much for a game system, period. Saturn anyone? The Blu-Ray player argument isn't very substancial because there's going to be signifigantly less demand for a Blue-Ray player than there was for DVDs. For most consumers they're not going to add enough to make it worthwhile to upgrade to another new format for all of their movies, especially when DVD is still relatively new. The PS2 was helped considerably because it was a low cost DVD player. It sold well at launch in Japan because it was the cheapest DVD player there was, not because people wanted to play horrible launch games. The PS3 isn't going to have the same benefit...
  20. I'm surprised it even came out on DVD at all, as it seemed like the show didn't do that great even with the initial blitz of products that accompanied the VHS release (the original comic series, the RPG/Votoms Viewers Guide from R. Talsorian).
  21. Being annoyed at him because of his picture protection policy or not updating his website is not a legitimate reason to be so upset at him and and continually harass him on the forums.
  22. It looks like you're completely right Hurin. As it stands, Togo has yet to come up with a decent argument so i guess the only thing I can do is hope he'll stop trying to "call out" Nanashi on every thread he makes? Wishful thinking, I know...
  23. Wow, you can copy and paste from PMs, good job! As it stands, I don't have much else to say. You've voiced your displeasure with Nanashi, but have yet to provide any proof or reasoning for why you feel that way, or why you're even justified to continually harass him on the forums. But go ahead, you can dodge the subject again and post a funny picture.
  24. Best retort ever. You sure you weren't in your high school's debate team, or something? You argumentative prowess is impressive.
  25. You mispelled "dodging" there, it's d-o-d-g-i-n-g, not a-n-s-w-e-r-i-n-g.
