  1. Keith's life has been a joke for the last 20 years at least, so I wouldn't worry about it.
  2. Yeah, Everybody Loves Katamari Damacy is the PS2 sequel. Last I heard the existence of a DS Katamari game was questionable, all we've heard was one small mention of it and nothing since, so... I like the soundtrack a lot. I bought my friend the soundtrack for his birthday, so once I get a copy of that I'll give it a better listen. From in game play, there's only one or two songs I dislike. I'm having trouble counting the different stages, but I'm pretty sure there is a lot more. Not to mentiona lot more variety, stuff like levels underwater and in the snow. Also a lot more variety in game objectives. It's basically like the original just bigger... and better.
  3. i talked to the yamato rep at comicon. he said it will sell here for $97 for the set. aka all the figures together. 315338[/snapback] 6500yen a piece for the Atelier Sai figures, the Yamato figures are different. I think.
  4. You sure? HLJ.com still lists them as a September release. They do have some nice pictures of the figures, though. I really loathe buying toys because I end up leaving them on a shelf collecting dust, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to resist these...
  5. I'm still confused. That toy has the poseability of a brick, so that's about the only post it can be put in.
  6. Looks practially real in the first pic, but I think that's mostly due to small image size and poor quality. Still an interesting development. I'm not sure realistic robots are really the way to go, as I question we'll ever be able to overcome the uncanny valley. I think a generaly human-esque robot like ASIMO would be a lot more comfortable to be around than this Real Doll lookalike which is so nearly human it's creepy. The only reason why you'd NEED a very realistic human-looking robot would be for sex, and it's not as if real people are too hard to find for that occupation...
  7. Keith, get the hell over it. It was 20 years ago.
  8. Anyone plays this yet? My copy just arrived in the mail today. Seems like a solid game, very similar in graphics and gameplay to the original just more of everything (objects, locations, missions). Definately worth picking up.
  9. Kind of airrelevant point to argue, given that tehre wasn't much choice when putting Robotech into production. In order to meet the requirements of the syndication system, it had to be at least 60-odd episodes long, so..!
  10. Yeah, too bad they went back and added in all that crap with DYRL, Flashback 2012, Macross Plus and Macross 7, right?
  11. So were the Robotech Masters who attacked earth the entire group fo Robotech Masters fighting the DoZ, or were they just a small part?
  12. Was that hazmat suit a Waltrip creation or was it from Southern Cross? Either way, I always liked the comics (all we Robotech fans had in the dark days) so I'm pleased to see they seem to be paying some attention to them.
  13. Couldn't agree more, the amount of NASCAR-centered crap on that channel is ridiculous when you consider how much REAL racing there is out there that get's totally ignored. At least we get WRC coverage at odd hours on Wednesdays or whatever, still not enough.
  14. Microsoft no doubt threw some money their way, as they're prone to do for Japanese developers.
  15. Congrats on the new car. My Civic just got a new clutch. It's second one! The first only had a little over 200,000 miles on it.
  16. The MSRP was in the $49.99-$59.99 range, but certainly no more than that unless you're talking about mark-ups. EDIT: Damn, now I'm not sure. Had another friend tell me it was in the $70 range. Now I'm really curious because I definately don't remember it being that expensive when it was originally released. Hrmm...
  17. Anyone know if that's true or not? I'm curious to find out. I was always under the impression Shelby just threw big motors in the Cobra's and GT40's and little else.
  18. What the heck is FMP? And... your link doesn't work.
  19. Waaah!? N64 games were $75?
  20. Definately the most beautiful Lambo, hell, maybe the only beautiful Lambo. The backstory is awesome, gotta respect a car built out of spite!
  21. Didn't we already discuss that car? Or was that on Anime Punch?
  22. It comes with one, but everything I've heard is that dealers are absolute pains to recognize the damn things. Mitsubishi has gone so far as to monitor SCCA results on websites and cross-reference those names to people who own Mitsubishi's and cancel warranties on matches. It's ridiculous to release a car that was MEANT to be a performance vehicle, and not support it. Other companies are guilty as well, but Subaru and Mitsubishi are by the far the most outspoken and visible on the subject. On Mitsubishi's part, it can be partially attributed to the fact they're in serious financial trouble and trying to cut corners wherever they can.
  23. So you... don't want a Gundam series?
  24. The Subaru Impreza was designed specifically to be used in the WRC. The older Legacy was too heavy/large to perform as needed, so the smaller Impreza was designed. Not to mention, Mitsubishi and Subaru still race in the WRC! Can't say that for Audi... P.S. Waffen, come to Large Prime Numbers. We miss you.
  25. Wasn't Toyspress Nagano's own company?
