1. That's a sweet Trans-Am. As hokey as Chuck Norris' career has been, he actually does have actual skills (won a number of karate championships back in the day), credentials (anyone who's friends with Bruce Lee gets a lot of points) and doesn't come off like he'd be the assbag in real life that just about every other action star comes off like.
2. Thank goodness the PSP doesn't actually have any decent games, or else you could be complaining about those being delayed.
3. Is Oblivion still set as an XBox 360 launch title? I'd rather play that any day over Twilight Princess, I stopped caring about Zelda a few weeks after Wind Waker. Either way it doesn't sound a spectacular holiday season for video games, I'll just keep playing Halo2 on LIVE, thanks.
4. yeah, they're cool... someone should start a thread... 320656 I heard the episodes just came out on DVD, so it'd be a really good time to start a thread.
5. So... Thundercats?
6. How much of a story is there to understand in Initial D anyways? Everyone: Wow, Takumi you're so good at racing! You've beaten everybody! Takumi: Gee, I dunno.. Bunta: You suck and I hate you for the death of my wife. -ENTER NEW RACER- Everyone: Wow, he's so good! Can you beat Takumi!? Takumi: Gee, I guess I'll try... Bunta: You're going to have to learn something new to beat him, but I can't tell you what it is. -RACE STARTS- Everyone: Wow, Takumi sure is losing! -HALF-WAY THROUGH THE RACE- Takumi: Gee, I magically learned what I need to beat this new racer through nothing but observation and speculation... Everyone: Wow, Takumi won the race! -RACE ENDS. TAKUMI WINS. THE END-
7. Unfortunately, Subaru has a reputation for being total cocksuckers when it comes to honoring warranties, especially if they suspect/want to believe "racing" is involved. My friend had to jump through hoops to get his faulty transmission replaced in his WRX because he had a blow-off valve...
8. Did you make that one yourself or is it from the Macross II arcade game?
9. Kind of amusing that Noburo Ishiguro looks exactly the same today as he did 23 years ago.
10. Thats 'Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger' to you. I suppose since you are picking on Arnold, you have accomplished more with your life. I mean more than looking at your avatar I would guess you are some sort of Goth Queen. Good for you, the world still needs SOMEONE to work at Blockbuster. 319958 You're right, I seriously doubt Sabretooth has done anything as impressive as staring in Junior AND Jingle All the Way.
11. As a big Toyota fan I'd really recommend against buying an Echo. Solid cars, usual Toyota reliability and all that... but the interior sucks, it drives like ass and is just an uncomfortable car to be in. The Scion xB and xA are essentially the same, but much niver all around.
12. If that's the case, they have some explaining to do regarding the attrocity that is the SSR.
13. But dude, he's our hero.
14. The Dragon Quest VIII controller and ACE2 game has nothing to do with the next generation of consoles...
15. That's hilarious. Nice truck, BTW. DOn't see many people buying Avalanches nowadays (I used to work at a Chevy Dealership) but I always liked 'em...
16. The thing that people tend to forget about video games (or music, or whatever else) is that that alone won't drive a person to kill themselves or others. A video game might act as part of the catalyst (though I find that to be doubtful) but the truth is the fault lies more with the person. If someone alows themselves to get so addicted to a game they abandon their family or die... they have a whole bunch more issues than just the game. But it's always easier to blame the easy scapegoat, especially as A1 pointed out in the case of parents... no one wants to admit their kid sucked at life.
17. Thank goodness, The Fast & The Furious 3 is taking place in Tokyo so we can have a proper drifting movie.
18. The big question is how many times he'll cheat on his wife in '06.
19. Yeah, why do car manufacturers insist on doing that sort of thing? I mean, the manufacturer is spelled out all over the car. 318177 Nothing wrong with having a recognizable grille for a car, problem is Dodge is just incapable of doing it properly. The front grilles on Alfa Romeo's or BMW's are very recognizeable, but aren't nearly as attention-grabbing, distracting or or ugly as the cross monstrosity Dodge puts in front of all of it's cars and trucks.
20. No, seeing as how they were all sold before the first one rolled out of the NISMO shop. 317124 Not hard to sell a limited edition run of only 20 cars, especially considering people who bought it probably bought it for the collectibility more than anything. Image wise it's ridiculous, because it's a Skyline. It's still a $170,000 coupe based on a rather boring Japanese 4-door sedan. Yawn.
21. The origins of the story come from a thread on 2ch. Problem is the authenticity of the thread is questionable, and might have been faked. More info here and here aaaaaand here
22. No, they're the second gen harduits. The reason why two versions are listed for Priss' is because in Red Eyes she gets her 2nd gen hardsuit before everyone else after getting her ass handed to her by Largo. This version was slightly different (just hand armaments, I think) than the one she wore in Scoop Chase, so there's two variations. I find it odd they chose the 2nd gen hardsuits to base the toys off of, other than Priss' they only appeared in one episode and aren't quite as familiar as the original suits. Look a bit cooler and more modern, I suppose.
23. Pretty sure you're referring to Newtype Model & Toys, which was a shop in San Francisco, IIRC. No idea if they're still around.
24. Hey, if the 360 is getting a Gundam, why not a Macross? 315647 Gundam is still popular.
25. So it seems as though the Yamato toys are smaller, cheaper, figures while the Ateliar Sai toys are larger and more expensive. This is all confusing, and yet I can't complain because after nearly 20 years we have some decent Bubblegum Crisis merchandise coming out!
