I say HALO, you say goodbye!
yellowlightman replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Funny, when I was playing StarCraft I kept thinking "these guys have definately played Warhammer 40,000." -
Who!? 322847 I think his name was JM1, actually. It was a number of years ago.

Mmmmm... blanket statements about millions of women. How... awesome.

We must have different definitions of "obscure," but I agree they're priced out of my range. 322875 I'm guessing my "obscure" he means "The first anime to be subtitled specifically for anime fans, and one of the most popular anime series from the early days of American fandom." I'm really not a toy guy at all, but I love Bubblegum Crisis... so I'm currently trying to figure out if it's worth it to get all of them at once or wait and pick one up now and get the rest when I get a bit more money. Decisions, decisions...

Autocross.

What about JT1? I met him soon after I first joned the forum at one of the SoCal meets and then he disapeared. Seemed like a nice guy, head he got into a bad situation and that's why he left. Hopefully he's alright wherever he is.

One of my best friend's has one, never driven it though. I mean really, it's respectably fast in a straight line thanks to the kickass Yamaha engine, but otherwise it's still a Ford Taurus. A Ford. Taurus.

The most interesting thing about this Movie, is how the adaption was handled-- quite differently from the typical video games license. Read more: http://www.bungie.net/News/TopStory.aspx?s...rney1&p=4542384 -

It won't be the true HALO experience unless they have eight Master Chief's running around screaming derogatory racial and sexual epithets. -
That reminds me of the time two guys gutted a Ford Festiva and stuffed a Taurus SHO engine behind the seats, thus creating the SHOgun. 322381 The SHOgun was actually a concept car developed back in '90, and 9 were made. http://www.shotimes.com/php-bin/modules.ph...article&sid=231

I think the paper is there so you can see the designs better... The aburd thing is the price! $90 for a bunch of glasses!?

Innovate. Refine. Make mo' money. All depends on where you look, really. Katamari Damacy is a great example of an new original idea, executed well, met with exception critical praise and managed to do fairly well. There are certainly more opportunities out there for new game design, it just needs to be encouraged. Not limiting your purchases to the mainstream, annually regurgitated titles Madden and Grand Theft Auto helps out a lot. Not to mention there's a lot of room left to perfect what we've already seen. Halo2 is good example of this, nothing about the game is particularly revolutionary but everything is refined and polished to an amazing degree. The online interface of the game is pretty much the same format we've seen for years, it's just been streamlined and designed so well it feels like it's new. On a semi-related tangent, here's a quote from Peter Molyneux regarding the Nintendo Revolution controller that I found a little encouraging: http://www.revogaming.net/html/modules/new....php?storyid=73

So the Chevy Corvette copied the Acura Integra...? Right. You are aware the Corvette has been around over 40 years, haven't you? Not to mention, nearly all the styling cues have been with the Corvette since the beginning. I'll cede on the headlights, but that's just about it. Either way, it's pointless bitching about how styling cue were stolen from this and this car since it happens ALL THE TIME. Hell, the first Ferrari's were Alfa Romeo's with different badges, those thieving bastards.

They've been climbing, but compared to the competition it's still a hell of a deal. The ZO6 jumped from around $50k to $75k, but it'll still embarass cars that cost two or three times that amount. Not to mention the fact that it's been how long since there's been an American car to be proud of?

Are you uploading the pictures through FTP? -
The Cobalt commercials were/are really weird, because they show more of the new C6 'Vette than than the Cobalt. Never understood that at all, since the two cars are nothing alike. The new '06 Corvette rocks your face. I would wager the '06 Z06 is THE greatest performance car America has ever made, and certainly the best performance value for the money.

Or an Aveo. 321669 Which is just a rebadged Daewoo.

I hear GSX and I think two wheels... Screw it and bring back the GNX, I say. Everyone's getting back into the V8 game nowadays, I'd much rather see a turbo V6.

What channel was this on? I guess the team with the $80k factory racer Skyline must have had a pretty easy task against a couple of econoboxes. Seems a little uneven. 321525 Seriously, wtf. That's the most un-even selection of cars.

I need to buy more games for my Saturn. I think that's the solution.

PSP Official Discussion thread.

You effort would be better spent bitching to Sony about getting some decent games released for the system. A man can't live on Lumines alone. -
I generally loathe car-related shows on TV, outside of downloaded epsodes of Top Gear and Fifth Gear (Tiff Needles rocks your face), I don't bother with much. Fifth Gear is on SPEED I think now, and Discovery Channel (?) is showing an oddly edited version of Top Gear, both are the best thing for cars on television. For non-BBC shows I like watching Pimp My Ride, because at least it's honest about the fact it's just ridiculous and there's a fair amount of skill put into the cars. Although it troubles be how little they focus on the drive train of the vehicles, leaving the kids with POS cars with a nice paintjob and interior, but the same unreliable motor/transmission/etc. SPEED is such a complete joke, with it's NASCAR-centric programming. If they aren't showing renecks going around an oval, they're showing rednecks TALKING about going aroudn an oval. The coverage of the race at Infineon was pretty amusing, and just proved how utterly uninformed most NASCAR fans are about proper racing and the variety of racing in the country.

The problem isn't really the strength of the clutch. It's because the car has so much power and so much traction, all of that stress is placed on the clutch. In a car with less traction, the tires would have more slip and disperse some of that stress... but in the Evo it's all placed on the clutch.

Get your mind out of the gutter, he's just ringing the bell. He's just really into it, okay?

Mitsubishi is even worse, since they go out of their way to track down people racing and cancel warranties. This is of course compounded by the fact that Mitsubishi's are built like poo and the company itself is in serious financial problems, so anyway they can get out of paying for repair work (new clutches at 10k in the LanEvo, anyone?) they'll do it.
