  1. Not just Final Fantasy Tactics, but VARANT STORY as well. A friend of mine played the hell out of demo at TGS or E3 a year ago and said it's fantastic.
  2. PSP + emulator for the win.
  3. You need to get out more, dude.
  4. I posted a link to an article in the Advent Children thread about how there are no plans to remake FF7 for the PS3. But using the power of Google, you can probably find the story yourself.
  5. I think the Kaido Battle series is better for that veign of racing, the physics in Initial D are utterly wacky and just plain wrong. Plus no multiplayer!
  6. I meant that in the typical Macross-fan-bashing-Robotech context, it was a bit hypocritical.
  7. Considering how much Macross "borrowed" from Gundam, that's not the best complaint.
  8. Mmmm... God bless the internet.
  9. Looking over my stack of import PS2 games, I'm not sure if there's any I'd really recommend that doesn't require some japanese knowledge or isn't available in America. I'm guessing you already have the Sega AM2 Macross game, if not... get that.
  10. Patlabor and Urusei Yatsura are the two that first come to mind.
  11. Helpful hint: Real browsers like Mozilla or Opera have search bars built into the browser windows.
  12. Hah, that Maranello is hilarious. Gumball is just a bunch of rich a-holes showing off anyways, so lack of taste is to be expected. The episode of Jackass on the Gumball was pretty awesome, though.
  13. Um, no, it isn't. http://www.totalvideogames.com/news/PS3_Fi...8320_4852_0.htm
  14. So... the real question is why you never bought the Soul Calibur 2 stick to go with the game. Worked tolerably well AND it was sexy. ... There was a Street Fighter for the 'Cube? 330844[/snapback] The better question is: Why are complaining about being able to play fighters on the Revolution? With the exception of Soul Calibur II, a Nintendo system hasn't seen a respectable fighter since the SNES days. Gotta stay with your strengths...
  15. Generally, while director's are editing movies before the soundtrack is finished they use other music as placeholders, hence the phrase "temp music." Random trivia: The music in 2001: A Space Odyssey was originally just meant to be placeholder music, until Kubrick fell in love with it and cancelled the original compositions for the film.
  16. Might have something to do with the fact that Sony Pictures made the Spiderman movies?
  17. Those NASCAR boys might cool down if they didn't have to drive around in circles for hours on end, that'd drive anyone crazy.
  18. Why did you have worries in the first place? It's always been known that the Revolution would be back-compatible with Gamecube controllers.
  19. Considering how hard Sony tries to fight piracy (in games, movies and music) I doubt they'd be rushing to release a Blu-Ray burner as that would only aid pirates and bootleggers.
  20. I would think that you of all people would love purple heads.
  21. You're still missing the point of the Revolution. Those fighters won't be on the system, at least not in their current form.
  22. The thing is, just about every gamer I've talked to is at least intrigued by the Revolution. And honestly, why wouldn't they be? Videogames are stagnating with tons of sequels and the same old stuff... I've guessing that most gamers, hardcore or casual, would be interested in something new.
  23. For serious. The monochrome color scheme wasn't anything amazing, but putting on some headphones and playing a Virtual Boy game was a very engrossing experience. Also, people fail to keep in mind that the VB was never intended to be a replacement for GB or the main SNES... it was something in-between. But hey... it's cool to hate the VB on the internet.
  24. There's really no reason to be afraid of Nintendo. Despite seeming small compared to bigboys like Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo is FAR more profitable than either Microsoft or Sony's game divisions. They have some weird ideas, but have logic and planning behind those ideas and haven't made any disasterous decisions since the N64 was announced to be cartridge based. There's no reason for the Revolution to have a "regular" game controller, because it's not designed to be a "regular" game system. If you want a system that offers more of the same pick up a 360 or a PS3, the Revolution is intended to be a step in a new direction for gaming playing to the lowest common denominator isn't going to help that.
  25. The cover to the Invid Invasion sourcebook was done by Kevin Long. Interior art was done by Kevin Siembieda and Kevin Long, no credit is given for the back cover so it's safe to assume it's Japanese. Furthermore, it's safe to assume that even if Palladium DID know who did the back cover, 17 years later they've no doubt forgotten. Not to mention, Palladium's poor grasp of the Japanese source material is so legendary I seriously doubt they ever knew.
