  1. Yay for airsoft pistols?
  2. Yeah, the best mod is DON'T. C'mon man, it's a freaking econo box. Spend your money elsewhere. I have two cars, an '86 RX7 and a '92 Civic 4door.
  3. Yeah, I can't wait to read a seven sentence "review" based on the first three episodes. Awesome.
  4. I dont think some stickers on a stock car counts as "fan work." You'd be a lot better off posting it in the automotive thread.
  5. Wes is right, as much as games like Rondo of Blood might appeal to hardcore gamers it's not going to do a thing for mass-market penetration. I mean, you can play Rondo of Blood on the PSP! Surely that's why it sells so well!? Ultimately there remains a lot fo be seen concerning these old games, and it's very unlikely any sort of large back catalog will be available due to the difficulty of getting rights and so forth. At best I'd expect to see a handful of "top" games from Nintendo and even then I question the point. Nintendo does such a good job of whoring out their old properties that eventually people are going to stop wondering WHY the hell they should care about playing the original Super Mario Bros. on ANOTHER system. The likelyhood of hardcore interest games like Snatcher and Rondo of Blood appearing on the revolution (especially in America is very unlikely.
  6. In the future they're going to create recreational drugs where the only side-affect is weight loss. It's gonna be SWEET. 384251[/snapback] Yeah, because modern drugs like cocaine don't lead to weight loss or anything. I find their choice to keep Breetai's bucket helmet odd considering the only reason they originally designed the bucket head during Sentinels pre-production was to avoid connections with SDF Macross. It's odd to see Zand on the list, seeing as how he was a character created entirely by Jack McKinney.
  7. Given Nintendo's poor performance these past two generations, a few extra old emulated games sure as hell aren't going to sell me. A nice addition, sure, but I'm not going to buy a system to games I could be playing on my computer for free.
  8. Magicbox is not a particularly reliable, source, I'd way until we hear it from other soures before getting too excited.
  9. My impersonation of Clarkson is as follows: BAH STUPID BLOODY AMERICAN CARS FREAKING SUCK THEYRE SO BAD. (lets ignore the fact that I bought a Ford GT) STUPID AMERICAN CARS CANT BE AS GOOD AS BRITISH CARS HAVE NO SOUL ALL PLASTIC (shh, British cars suck and the only reason they're still around is because they're owned by American companies) THIS CAR IS SO GREAT IT DOES EVERYTHING WELL ITS REALLY GREAT (but i don't like how it looks, so it's a bad car. sorry, Cayenne)
  10. This poo wasn't funny 6 months ago and I can guarantee you guys it hasn't gotten better with age.
  11. Uh, slowdown on shooter isn't anything too special. The PS2 version of Shikigami no Shiro 2 allows you to turn the slowdown off or on (for that authentic arcade experience). Not to mention slowdown generally makes it a lot easier to navigate through bullet hell games. In a lot of ways I prefer Battlecry to the SDF Macross game for PS2. I thought Battlecry did a really good job of capturing the "feel" of the Robotech series, to an extent I haven't seen in any other licensed game. It just felt like you were playing an episode. Of course the game had it's fair share of faults, but it was a fun experience for nostalgic reasons. The SDF Macross game while being technically good left me feling a little bored.
  12. Must have been the first movie that required a microscope to watch it.
  13. I should also mention I love the Macross II arcade game, just about my favorite Macross game too.
  14. It's coming out for the PS2 and Gamecube within the next year, the DC version was limited to 4000 units. Definately worth picking up though.
  15. I picked up Radirugy for the Dreamcast when it came out, so that's the most recent shooter I've played. It's a great game, takes a while to figure out but it's very reqarding and a ton of fun.
  16. Hah, that's hilarious.
  17. If nothing else you could always sell the autogrpahed Mari CD on eBay and probably make your money back. Thats what I was planning on doing had I made it down for last year's con.
  18. I was going to buy Tetris DS yesterday but there was a long line at Electronics Boutique so I got annoyed and just left. Might go buy it today. Anyone else pick it up?
  19. That's because they're action movies, not car movies.
  20. No, it's one of the coolest car ideas ever. It manages to piss off both crowds, the import guys and the muscle car guys while still producing a cool car. Both parts of that car are awesome. That said, the movie looks decent. That said, I'm one of the few car guys I've known that understood and appreciated the first F&TF for what it was. Of course the idea of drifiting on Tokyo freeways in competition is silly, and all that neon is silly and the fact that it looks like most of the Japanese characters are played by Chinese is silly too. Still, I bet it'll be entertaining and hopefully piss off all the car guys who take this thing too damn seriously.
  21. Yeah, they're releasing a hopped up AWD Maserati-motor version of the Brera. It's going to be stupid expensive though.
  22. I'd reckon $9 is about all it's worth. I have a few of these video game strategy books for various Macross games, and unless you're big on pictures of in-game polygonal valkyries theyre pretty boring.
