  1. *phew* That was a close call, then. My friend and I were recently rewatching the original BTTF and noticed that you can see the foor sagging in the film. Which means that only a few years after being released, the Deloreans in the move were already falling apart.
  2. It's still a Delorean which means as a car, it still sucks balls in every conceivable way. This should be in the automotive thread, btw.
  3. I played the first Farcry and it was at least worth a rental. The best part is the map editor, which is a ton of fun. As for some recommendations, if you like RPGs you might enjoy Shenmue 2. Not a traditional RPG by any means but still a story-focused game that's a lot of fun. You might also want to pick up Dai Senryaku. It's a very old-school hex-map type strategy game. Not much in the way of graphics, but it's a lot more indepth than your regular console strategy game and it's turn based. As for FPS', I'm assuming you have Halo 2? If you don't you need to get that, it's an amazing game and the multiplayer is still packed with people on Live. Also might want to look into Project Snowblind a fun FPS with some neat features.
  4. Yeah, I knew you were kidding. I figured you'd have better taste than that anywho.
  5. A trilogy of movies is much less of a commitment than a long TV series. Not to mention the domestic MS Gundam TV DVD release sucks.
  6. Ugh, you guys suck. Start with the original movies. Even if you can't stand how old and dated it is, it'll give you a better understanding of where the series came from and in turn give you a better appreciation of the Gundam universe. ALL Gundam series are derivative of the original MS Gundam and seeing the original trilogy first will allow you to better judge which series you want to see later. DON'T see G Gundam, Gundam Wing or 08th MS Team first. Fruit cake Gundam Wing and crazy G Gundam are not particularly representative of Gundam and not a good place to start. Stick with the original and go from there depending on your tastes and what you liked about the original.
  7. Ugh, no. Start with the original MS Gundam movie trilogy.
  8. Really digging these. A nice break from the ultrarealism of most Gundam toys, and big enough to make nice display pieces (1/72nd).
  9. George Lucas doesn't care about fanchildren people.
  10. My friend has a copy, so I've played through it a bit. It's fun, if you like those kinda games. Music quality is pretty good for covers, but could use some better songs.
  11. I feel exactly the same, I loved Robotech when I was growing up but all the products bearing thename made in the last 10 years have been utterly disapointing. They're just kinda driving it into the ground, and that's disapointing to see. Of course, I could nearly say the exact same thing about Macross.
  12. What do you mean?
  13. I like the FIX's because I'm too lazy to build my own models and theyre nice for display. I never play with my toys anyways, so buying something for that purpose is kinda silly.
  14. You just made f*cking day BSU! I had pretty much given up hope on seeing the three-disc release, since it was supposed to come out, what, three years ago? AND we're getting a theatrical version!? Awesome. And for those of you without any taste; the theatrical cut is supposed to be in the 3-disc set, I believe. EDIT: D'oh, it says it includes the theatrical cut in the 3-disc boxed set. Frankly though, I'd rather have the work print than the dirctor's cut since the director's cut is easy to find.
  15. I'm over in Davis and I'd be down for a game, doesn't have to be Macross but some sort of Mekton/mecha game would be great. Most of my friends are only interested in FRPGs.
  16. Why do Robotech threads on MW always turn into the internet equivalent of the short bus? While the teacher's gone, you're in charge Keith. Don't hug people too much.
  17. Wait a while and see what system has the kinds of games you like.
  18. Hey guys, I'm trying to find an older Gundam toy I remember seeing on this forum a while back. It was a large scale, I think might have been part of the Musha line. But it was not decked out in typical samurai armor, instead it looked more like some sort of heavy-type gundam, lots of guns and so forth. I know it was for sure not based on an anime design and was an original design for the toy. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
  19. You do any of these professionally? I would think with the popularity of pixel art people would be interested in this kinda stuff.
  20. Pillows-hatin' bastards! FLCL should have easily cracked the top 10. 400942[/snapback] Pillows are way overrated. Saw them in concert and they were nice and generic.
  21. Or Silhouette. Really, you could hire a dozen monkeys to write an anime roleplaying game system and it'd still be better than the haphazad garbage Palladium churned out.
  22. I'd had a few too many beers earlier today and decided ordering this was a REALLY good idea. needless to say I'm $70 poorer and now that I've sobered up hoping to hell it doesn't suck.
