1. Most promising looking new mecha anime series in recent memory. No girlie little brightly colored mecha, realistic more mature looking characters and an interesting sounding story. Awesome.
2. GM owns Saab as well. There was some talk a while back about bringing Alfa Romeo back to the States through GM dealerships, because for a while GM owned part of Fiat. Since then I think GM's gotten out of it's relationship with Fiat and Alfa will be coming over as part of Maserati/Ferrari dealerships. It's the other way around, isn't it? I'm pretty sure Renault owns Nissan.
3. Wish you'd posted this a couple days ago, I would have brought mine. I'm already in LA though, and my Saturn is back at home.
4. The car has a solid rear? Uh, have fun fighting to control that.
5. Generally it's worth it to pick up an extra set of rims to throw your race tires onto.
6. Any idea how late this thing is gonna run? Just found out the Izabuchi panel is on Sunday at 1pm, so I'll probably have to head back to AX a bit early.
7. Why the PS2 version and not the superior GC or XBox version?
8. They take their internet discussion of very expensive toys very seriously, apparently.
9. The otherwise pretty unique look of the Wiesman is absolutely ruined by those (admittedly nice) rims that you see EVERYWHERE these days.
10. Sounds like a problem on your end. Always takes me to the first unread post in a thread, as it's supposed to. P.S. I think this thread title needs more question marks.
11. Sleeper's are inherently kind of dumb, or at least the popularity behind them is. That said... an empty Ford E-350 van.
12. Has everyone received their reg badges? I got mine, but a couple friends from out of the country used my address and have yet to receive theirs.
13. That reminds me, does anyone else remember the episode of Tom Cruise where they go on the Gumball 3000? I thought that was a really good episode and fairly different from the rest of Tom Cruise.
14. i though they got away with it pretty well. Nothing was really glaringly fake. Only think I really took issue with was the ridiculous amount of CG people they used in Hachiko crossing. Looked really fake and that poo is packed anyways, dunno why they'd need CG!
15. Just use a free image provider like imageshack.us or similar. Edit: Furthermore, I just tried it and it works fine.
16. yeah, good effort and all but a lot of those actors were trying to do voices that they just couldn't pull off.
17. And yet, that seems to be the de facto standard for anime heroes these days. 409420 Uh, that's been the standard for anime heroes for over 30 years. Nothing new.
18. By all accounts Van Damme sounds like a royal apeface. A friend of mine worked as a parking garage attendant in Santa Monica and one day Van Damme pulls up to my friend's booth and says something to the effect of "Hey, do you give parking discounts for superstars?"
19. I'm pretty mixed on this game. On one hand its cool to use all these different mecha, on the other hand the lock-on system is absolutely broken and at times makes the game unecessarily difficult to the point of frustration. Ultimately it's difficult to get your mecha to do exactly what you want it to because of the focus on the lock-on system which can be so difficult to control. That said, I'm still sticking it out to get the Valkyries. Hopefully it'll be worth it!
20. You'd rather see a car that's completely undriveable? It's about more than just HP. The point is doing something different. For the last 35 years all you see in Mustangs are V8s (well, suped up Mustangs) anyways. Why not put something different in it?
21. Dude, you gotta find a better supplier for tshirts. That's kinda ridiculous. Anyways, I'd look ridiculous in an XL so I'll pass...
22. Four (hell, seven) years ago Robotech fans had just a good of a grasp of the origins of Robotech and different between Robotech and Macross. Believing otherwise is a commonly held misconception in the Macross community.
23. Hah, I absolutely love how upset that car makes people. American car guys are like, "eww, Japanese motor!" and import guys are like, "ewe, Mustang!" The RB26 is an amazing motor. The Mustang Fastback is an amazing car. I don't see anything wrong with putting the two together. If for no other reason that just to be DIFFERENT. Car customizers tend to get into habits and do the same poo over and over again, I'm all for mixing it up a bit.
24. And then you would sit for an hour to watch what amounts to 5-6 minutes of real information, and even that dumbed down. 408614 yeah, but given that the History Channel runs 24 hours a day, that's still a solid 120 minutes worth of information about Hitler.
