I'm not up on my Xbox 360 specs, the only thing I'd need to make it comparable to the Premium would be a hard drive, right? Another $100 or so?

I don't have a 360 (yet) so no GoW for me.

The Nintendo Wii Thread!!
yellowlightman replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
GT Pro Series looks like a crappy PSone game, good job UbiSoft. I'm beginning to really dislike the graphics of the Wii. You can tell me it's about gameplay all you want, but if I'm paying $250 for a system plus another $50 for a game I don't want a game that looks like it could have been made five years ago. -
Car forum guys are so damned obnoxious. They love battying about how one of 'their' cars was ruined by someone who's tastes differs from theirs. A few years back there was a Monster Garage where they tried to turn a 2nd gen RX7 into a sand crawler and failed, and so Jesse James shot the car up with a chain gun. Guys on Rx7club were LIVID and battyed about it constantly. It's like hey guys... it's a CAR, there's more than one around.

If you'd read the interview, they mention that and say Bungie is still working on the graphics. Also, they mention they saw 20-seconds of the single player game and it looked spectacular, and considerably better than the multiplayer portion. I read through most of EGM's cover story today and while I'm not overwhelmed, I have no doubt it'll be an amazing game. The multiplayer (the only part I'm interested in) certainly isn't anything new or radical, but when Halo 2's multiplayer is is pretty much perfection, it makes sense they wouldn't tweak it too much.

From what I've heard, eBay is actually pretty strict with people selling PS3's. You have to have 50 positive feedbacks and can only sell one system per account. That said, the fact is we live in a free market economy and those crazy auction prices exist because of all the idiots who will pay those prices, it's not the fault of the sellers. Yeah, that's it costs $600 right? Maybe Sony should just hand them out for free as a charity benefit... I really have no pity for the people who rush out on the launch of a new system and buy it. They end up paying more, going through a big hassle and for what... to play shitty launch games before anyone else? They can do what they want but saying "oh, poor them" is silly. -
Uh, apologizing for a cartoon is stupid, no need to feel embarassed question. Furthermore, pretty much all Japanese animation projects are animated in Korea or other asian countries, as is the same with American animation projects.

I would imagine the improper (or at least un-verified) classification might have something to do with Dave Deitrich's original background for the mecha on his RPG site.

Too bad Halo has a relaively generous auto-aim to make up for gamepad shortcomings, and thus such a match up wouldn't be exactly fair.

I think I'd rather just stare at a loading screen than play Tekken. Giving users the option to install games for quicker loading seems like a lame way to get out of the 'our games take forever to load' problem. -

Famitsu scores are notoriously unreliable, I wouldn't trust them. -
Remastered Patlabor Movie I Is Freakin' Sweet

The books that come with the LE's wont be a replacement for a proper art book in terms of line art, but there is quite a bit. Keep in mind it's not that big though, the books are the size of a DVD case. The books come with lots of other stuff, like location photos used for production, interviews, translated articles and complete storyboards for both films. Well worth it I'd say. -

Console (hah) yourself with the knowledge that you haven't dropped a bunch of cash on an unproven system. -
I haven't picked up a toy in a while, but i might have to make an exception for the Kampfer. Looks like a nice piece of kit.

I love the Patlabor OAV and TV series, by far some of my favorite mecha series. I'm not a big comedy-anime guy, but I really liked Patlabor for some reason. The movies I'm not so crazy about, I like them for what they are, but they're not my favorites.

Yeah, the developers of Battlecry went to Japan and stole the code from VFX-2. Nothing gets by you, Keithy. I liked Battlecry a lot. The escort missions were frustrating as hell, but I think the game really got the feel of the Robotech series. The music, the art style, the sound effects, it really "felt" like Robotech. In that sense, I think they did a better job of capturing the feel of the source material better than any of the Macross games.

No, I mean the one you designed LOOKS a lot like the dropship from ALIENS. The tail in particular. -

New version is very derivative of the dropship from Aliens. -
His website design is utterly horrible, so I never visit it. Uh, good for him? Blog TV really is the 'big time,' I suppose.

It certainly is hard to give into ridiculous prices and poor game selection. There hasn't been a "must-have" launch title since Mario 64, so I really don't see why so many people rush to buy a new system as soon as possible. Too expensive, too few decent games, too much hassle and for what? Being able to brag about how you got the gottest new system? -
Mazda6, by a considerable margin. My Mom bought one a a little over a year ago and it's a great car. The Eclipse has the unfortnate distinction of being a Mitsubishi.
