  1. I would kill a dozen newborn babies for a proper BGC line of toys.
  2. So I ended up picking up the Lost Planet Collectors Edition at a not-so-local Circuit City right before they closed for the evening. Take it back to my buddy's house and open up the package, only to find out there's no friggin' game DVD in the package. The bonus DVD is there, but no game DVD. Very weird considering it was factory wrapped and sealed. So i'll have to drive back tommorow and get a new copy, hopefully they won't think I'm trying to rip them off.
  3. Too much chrome and a Ford, but otherwise an intriguing looking car.
  4. Poor Joe Pesci.
  5. Are you trying to justify calling The Good Shepard science fiction? Please tell me you are. That would be... amazing.
  6. I've never handled let alone seen a real Jumbo Grade Gundam, so I can't say much for the comparison between the two. But the Gundan is made from pretty good quality materials, some kind of almost-soft plastic that's quite sturdy. I could probably toss it at a wall and it wouldn't ge damaged, not gonna test that out thought. Unless you want an original for collectibility purposes, the Gundan is probably a good choice since it's a lot cheaper and looks pretty good, with lots of decals (although they do say "Gundan"...) and airbrushed shading.
  7. I have a GUNDAN I bought at AX for $80. By far my favorite robot toy.
  8. Best anime or science fiction movie I've seen this year.
  9. Considering how expensive the original Talisman games are, this is pretty awesome news.
  10. Another option would be to grab a VGA cable and play them on your monitor. That said, I play my 360 games on a 25" SDTV and aside from a couple games with hard to read text, it's been fine.
  11. Got a chance to look the site over a bit more, and I'm really impressed. Content-focused websites like this are always great. The coloring is simple and attractive, really suits the line art well. I'll be looking forward to forthcoming sections. Great work, guys.
  12. Consdering how long it took for a practical PS2 hack for playing games from other regions, it might be a long wait...
  13. For my money, the PS1 GiTS game is far and away a superior game to the PS2 SAC game. As much as I'd like to hope this Appleseed game won't suck, considering it's 1) a licensed game and 2) based on a horrible movie, I doubt it'll be worth importing.
  14. Awesome site, horrible domain name.
  15. Bandai has a presence in North America before they started bringing Gundam over. I specifically remember them releasing the Power Rangers toys back in the mid 90's.
  16. The idea of playing a like Halo 2 (where i have the thumbstick sensitivity set to the max) for hours at a time with a Wiimote sounds... painful. What I mean is that it simply wouldn't offer any benefit over using a pad (or a keyboard mouse blah blah), and in actuality would no doubt be worse.
  17. Just because the wiimote and nunchuck can control a game moderately well, doesn't man it should. There's no reason to play for instance a strategy game, when a regular controller will suffice just as well. For that matter, shooters (the 2D kind... and probably FPS' as well) would actually be nearly ruined with such a configuration. No way in he'll i'd touch a bullet hell game like Shikigami II wthout anything but a solid d-pad. For that matter, potential for innovation and actual innovation are a different thing. Anyone can say how many possibilities the Wii holds, but until developers start delivering those possibilities it won't mean much.
  18. Er, what add-ons? You mean the HDDVD drive? You don't need that to play games...
  19. He was trying to be clever and say I had forgotten about the "great" games coming out by Grasshopper, Ubisoft and Square-Enix. The problem with exclusives, or the lack of exclusives, especially in regards to the Wii is that the Wii will no doubt see a lot of "ports." Games that weren't designed for the controller and have been graphically downgraded. Companies like EA can gush all they want about the system, but until they and other companies start producting quality games FOR the Wii instead of modifying PS3 and 360 games, there's nothing to be excited about.
  20. It's not exacly a true strategy game, but Pikmin has some elements of the RTS genre and is a pretty good game. Skies of Arcadia is about the only "real" JRPG the Gamecube got, and it's a fun game, but very old-school in it's design.
  21. The growing hype around Gundam Musou is amusing for a couple reasons. For one, it's a Gundam game. GOOD Gundam games are so far and few between getting excited about them is really just a recipe for disapointment. Secondly, the Dynasty Warriors style (is there a name for these?) games tend to turn out pretty bad, more often than not. Remember the over-hyped Ninety Nine Nights?
  22. But why would you want to watch anime that wasn't made in the 80's?
  23. My point is that it really isn't that different from any other Nintendo console, especially considering all the promising games are Nintendo first or second party games.
  24. Unfortunately, Kevin Siebieda is still there as well.
