  1. Pretty obviously not a tattoo, but cool none the less. There was a guy on the old forums who had some nifty Macross tattoos, wish I'd saved the pictures. Basically complete sleeves on both arms, damned if I remember who it was though.
  2. No offense dude, but your constant whining about selling your 360 and getting a PS3 is getting old. Go write it in a blog or something. Anywho, I just Gamefly'd Just Cause today and it's kinda fun. The on-foot part sucks and I haven't played much of the missions, but flying around the islands is fun. By far the best thing about Gamefly is being able to try out mediocre games without having to pay too much. Doubtful I'd have been able to play Pimp My Ride any other way...
  3. MGS4. Is anyone planning on buying SOTN when it goes on XBLA? As much as I like the idea of having SOTN on the 360, I'd just as well pull out my old PSone and play it on that.
  4. uh what. where's the punchline?
  5. One Motoslave doesn't count as a "line." If they manage to produce a Typhoon II and a Doberman boomer, I'll start posting pictures...
  6. Because the Wii is a gimmick based system and the PS3 is over priced and not selling?
  7. Magicbox is notoriously unreliable. But it's all still hearsay... maybe Saturn games will be showing up on both systems? That said, for $600 on the PS3 you could buy a lot of great saturn games, and the Wii doesnt have a controller that could stand up to the Saturn's, so I'll stick with my old white box.
  8. Clover no longer exists, as most of the talent has left Capcom and started a new studio named Seeds. Supposedly they're working on a 360 game.
  9. Considering how rare immortals tend to be, I find it laughable that the MacLeod clan managed to birth three of them. The character designs look like crap and the whole story sounds pretty lame. I suppose the great irony is that the Highlander license is itself proving to be immortal, despite good taste calling for it's end.
  10. I'd say take it back to the dealership and have them fix it.
  11. I borrowed Episode 3 from a friend of mine a while ago and I put it in the DVD player and find it's full screen. I was so pissed I called him up and started cussing at him, his response? "You don't have a high-def TV so why the hell would you need widescreen?" ...
  12. Definitely get one of the huge 10x tachs from Autozone.
  13. The beauty of Google: http://mgrsti3030s.seamlesstech.biz/Mercha...am_gc_store.jpg
  14. La-La land is the place where people believe the PS3 was a big success, is worth the ridiculous price tag, has good games and offers the best experience. This is SCEA's CEO and president, btw, not just some "rep." Best quote: "If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than five minutes, I'll give you 1,200 bucks for it."
  15. I think inviting others is a good idea. We'll just have to be exra vigilant about keeping an eye on the customs room and so forth so that things don't go "missing." There wouldn't be a problem with MW'ers, but with friends and friends of friends... things can get sketchy.
  16. I believe much (if not all) of that guide book was reproduced in the R. Talsorian VOTOMS game, which should be pretty cheap to pick up on ebay.
  17. I'm not sure if a large scale MMO would be a good idea, really that sounds kind of like a pain in the ass with jerks running all over blowing everything up. I think a limited multiplayer (2-4 players) would be the best idea, as Crackdown has shown that such a feature is a lot of fun. Any guesses on the setting?
  18. This is Sony. You can be damned sure you'll be paying for their incompetence.
  19. Judging from the aracde at my local university, the only games that get any play are fighting games, racing games, dancing games and light gun games. I'm not sure whats really hot now with fighting games, probably still stuff like Capcom vs SNK 2. The Initial D racing game used to be super popular, but I think it's been overtaken by the Wangan Midnight series. Downside of racing games is that the cabinets are larger and thus cost more money. Dancing games are always popular, stuff like Dance Dance Revolution and Pump it Up. Lightgun games like Time Crisis 4 (or is there a 5? I forget) also House of the Dead 4. Your best bet would probably be to put out a survey to students to see what kind of games they want to play, since ultimately it's up to them which cabinets will be making money. I'd say assemble a good list of games and then leave it up to the students.
  20. I think the ''ugh' was that you'd have to beat the ugly new 3D version to get the original.
  21. Yeah, it is. Anyways, it doesn't look very 'Appleseed.' A shootout in an old gothic cathedral? Way to piss all over the Appleseed manga (as if the movie didn't do enough of that already).
  22. Too bad it's still FWD.
  23. I dont really see a problem with the sculpt. Looks very similar to the design and proportions from the TV series. Not a big fan of the stylized Ace Ventura hip-thrusting look of the Revoltech.
  24. Considering the absurd prices on most CM's toys, that's probably wishful thinking.
  25. Looks like a very expensive Dodge Stealth.
