  1. Fundamentally, I think the problem is that... we don't need a live action Macross movie.
  2. I've been wanting to make a Macross themed shirt for a while, but finally got off my ass and started drawing up some preliminary ideas. Keep in mind these are still pretty rough, but once I get them to where I like them I'll have them printed up make them available. the front: v.1 v.2 the back: Let me know what you guys think.
  3. Part-time probably. Nobody will get rich working in the rpg industry. Interesting that they're looking for new artists though, I guess after the "art" in Cyberpunk v3 they realized they need actual artists!

  5. Pretty sure that's what he meant; as in who would pick the callsigns to give to people.
  6. I thought the whole 'ranting about lame NES games' was played out after Seanbaby did it... 6-7 years ago.
  7. What was the point of your argument again, danth? Something about how Roger should release the unused lineart through Palladium as an RPG sourcebook? Edit: You do realize the Robotech Art series is just as much an artbook by HG as the RPG books are, right?
  8. I'd suggest you look through the Southern Cross book again, as nearly all primary art for that book is by one "P. Simon," and his stuff is largely garbage. What little artbook there is in there is small and mostly multiple-angle shots. Unfortunately my Macross RPG book is nowhere to be found, but I can assure you you're very wrong about the Southern Cross artbook. Furthermore, Art 1 has a TON of character lineart, something the RPG's barely even feature. Not to mention a lot of color artwork, the Southern Cross and New Generation sections are a bit lacking... but overall you get a lot more artwork for your money. There might be, but you've yet to find any decent ones.
  9. Did any of you guys pick up Earth Defense Force 2017? I grabbed it last night and I've been plesantly surprised. It's decidedly budget, but a huge step above the other D3 games I've played. Lots of weapons, destructable cities, fun co-op... worth the $40.
  10. The REF Field Manual had a ton of real line art, but every other RPG book was chock full of Palladium's own medicore artwork. What part of 1986 English language artbook don't you understand? It was great for the time, and you really cant judge it by today's standards.
  11. Correct, Art 2 was meant to be a showcase of fan art. I really like the Robotech Art series, especially when you consider the time at which they were produced.
  12. A license gives you the right to use that copyright.
  13. I've never played an Ace Combat game in my life, so I'm wondering.. how arcadey is it? Seems like it has a lot of interest from plane buffs, but I'm guessing a hardcore sim wouldn't work very well on consoles.
  14. Couldnt you just burn the DRM songs to an audio CD, then rip the songs off that CD? Takes a bit more effort, but...
  15. Already confirmed for release on the PS3 and 360. I am thoroughly underwhelmed. New York has been done to death, and I was really hoping they'd get a little more creative with the setting. Either put it in a more exotic location or put it in a different time period.
  16. Doesn't sound that much different from any time a thread about a possible new Macross series pops up; cue 10 pages of people throwing out their fanboy ideas for how THEY'D do it, heh.
  17. You can't use words to be creative?
  18. And yet it's still the overall best next-gen system. Microsoft has agreed to fix/replace any broken systems for free, so I'm not sure what else people want. As new iterations of the system come out. For the record, my 360 locks up once in a while (a LOT during Worms, actually) and it sucks, but it's certainly not enough to cripple the awesomeness of the 360.
  19. Expensive doujinshi... Glad it ended up in the hands of someone willing to share it, though.
  20. Yeah, never do trade in's as thats how they make their money and will rip you off. Putting it up on eBay or finding a buyer through another method is a much better idea.
  21. Interesting to note about the picture you guys are posting... The head is actually quite different than the one seen in the official line art and the actual animation. I think the canon is just right in that picture. The lineart shows the canon being a bit longer than the Motoslave in cycle mode. For the record, this mobile suit can in fact fit somebody inside it. SHows it pretty clearly on page 72 of the B-Club Special.
  22. Can't your PS2 play your huge library of PS2 games?
  23. Might want to check the date on the issue of EGM that news came from... (april fools)
  24. Weren't those for the PS2?If so, that'll be a resounding no... Gotta have a reason to make you buy the Ace Combat 6 flight sticks anyways.
