Pretty sure Guitar Hero 3 hasn't been announced yet... and when it is it'll probably be multiplatform.

PS2 is probably your best bet right now, as it'll be the cheapest and allow you to get GH1 and GH2. Not to mention there's a lot of ther great games on the system.

Just played through the Eternal Sonata demo. I generally hate RPGs, but the combat system is fun enough that i really enjoyed it. Definitely worth creating a JP gamertag for.

Has anyone picked up the Making of Star Wars book that was recently released? I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I do love all the preproduction stuff from the first movie so I ordered it from Amazon. Anyways, I don't remember my first Star Wars experience but it was probably watching it on VHS in my friend's living room. I was born a year after Return of the Jedi came out, so I never got to see it's theatrical run.

Well, I cracked on Wartech: Senko no Ronde. Initially I was pretty gung ho about it, but after hearing some tepid reviews I decided not to get it. Then a few online friends told me they loved it, so I tossed it into an order from Amazon. I figure if nothing else it'll be supporting niche releases for the 360 over here, and EDF 2017 turned out to be a lot of fun...

Probably had something to do with being the first real robot series, so it still showed a lot of it's super robot origins.

Can't say I'm that excited about the game. I love Starcraft, and still play it occasionally but I've never really felt the need for a newer version. Glad to see the designs aren't ripping off WH40k wholesale this time, though.

Depends on how you got on the Beta, I think. I believe Crackdown has an option for Halo 3 beta in it's download section that'll become available one the beta goes up. Otherwise I'm guessing they'll email you a code? Not sure. I've been playing the beta since Saturday morning on the Friends & Family thing, and it's really great, although right now the amount of people is really small. Makes for some odd sightings though, played against gabe and Tycho of Penny Arcade last night.

I just got back from the Halo 3 press event in San Francisco tonight. Got a big screen TV all to myself for about two and a half hours. In short, it's great. Nothing about it is amazingly better than Halo 2, but I think Halo 2 was pretty close to perfection. Just tosses in a lot more variety in the weapons, all the levels kicked ass. Fun new modes. Can't wait for the 15th.
