  1. Not exactly 360 related, but it is Xbox related and I didn't feel like starting a new thread. I picked up a brand new copy of Steel Battalion today. I was out with friends and as we drove by a Gamestop one of them casually mentioned he'd bought his used copy of Steel Battalion there and last he knew they had a new one sitting in the back. They did, and it was only $99 so I picked it up. Box is a little beat up from shuffling around in the store room for a few years, but otherwise looks to be in great condition. Haven't bothered to set it up yet, as I have no idea where I'm going to put it. The guy waiting behind me in line as I was buying it told me he owns 4 (!!!) copies, for LAN play.
  2. Yeah, because no other race or religion has ever been specifically targeted by hate groups. Yeah, this issue could be misconstrued as racism. Is it? I highly doubt it. It reallys under that category of "dumb stuff people complain about when there are more important issues worth crying about."
  3. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182358 Some new Halo 3 screen shots, both SP and MP. Game looks like total sex. This month's Wired also has an interesting article about the extensive testing Bungie is doing to ensure the game is going to be excellent. You can find it on the Wired website. Just a little over a month to go... Guess I'd better ask for the the 25th off of work.
  4. The Matrix Incredibly overrate, and pretty much ruined fight choreography for the past 7 years.
  5. The monster designs are pretty awful. Looks like a cross between American Godzilla and Anaconda.
  6. With the exception of Yoko Kanno and Kawamori himself, the previous works of others involved in Macross F are worrying. By all accounts a crappy director and a crappy writer. Not to mention that the creepy losers over at Heisei Democracy are excited about it... which isn't a good sign.
  7. Well, comes out in two days. Although people said Toys R Us had the game out on shelves a few days ago, for some reason they decided to break the street date.
  8. Or even better, buy a Japanese release console.

  10. I'm not sure if it really counts as little-known, since 10-15 years ago it was pretty popular. It's an alright series, but the liberties it takes with the canon and some other ridiculousness in the story keeps it from being one of my favorite Gundam series.
  11. Not a bad bet, considering they've pimped out just about everything else they make in that ugly color scheme.
  12. Hahahahahahaha. Wow, you have a lot of time on your hands. Seanbaby is hilarious, I used to love his website back in it's heydey around 2000 or so. All of the "wow look at these retarded NES games" reviewers are basically ripping off what Seanbaby was doing years ago.
  13. Yeah, those electricity charges are where they REALLY stick it to ya.
  14. Dropped by my local Gamestop to make a Halo 3 preorder and picked up the free Ace COmbat 6 poster. Came in a package with seven other game posters, none of which I'd put on my wall. The AC6 is rather nice, though.
  15. A drawing of the Typhoon II's bike mode appears in the B-Club Special, so it's at least a possibility. I'm guessing if this toy is successful, they'll release Linna and her Motoslave, as the Motoslaves are identical save for color. I'm really holding out hope for some Boomers, though...
  16. Reading game magazines for reviews is pretty dumb to begin with, but then I don't know of any game magazines I'd actually pay for. I got EGM for a few years with a free subscription, and it was worth every penny.
  17. I'd like to see it in robot mode, as currently it's a bit... underwhelming?
  18. Anyone try the Stranglehold demo? Has a few annoying parts, but does a pretty great job of capturing John Woo's bullet mayhem in video game form.
  19. Half.com or Amazon.com's used goods site? Really though, eBay is your best bet.
  20. Just played the new Beautiful Katamari demo, which is painfully short (only three minutes long). But it's pretty much exactly as you'd expect, visually not much of an upgrade from the PS2 games and everything else seemed about the same. The hassle I had to go through to get the damn demo disc to play (involved boiling the friggin' thing) was insane.
  21. Except Nadesico mecha are boring as hell. Really, it looks like it's unlikely that Revoltech will give us a complete line of any particular series. They've done a lot fo Evangelio mecha, but Eva fans are suckers and will buy anything so for fans of anything else we'll probably be stuck with one or two toys and that'll be it.
  22. Man that is awesome. Totally ridiculous and defying all logic... the best kind of car mods, IMHO. Although really you've got to wonder about the guy who has the money to get a Ferrari motor, but doesn't have anything else to put it in except a Pulsar.
  23. Senko no Ronde is a weird game, as much as it looks like a 2D shooter it doesn't play like one... It has more in common with fighting games or Virtual On. I bought it, mostly because I like to support quirky releases, but it's really not worth the full price. Once it gets down to $30-$40, it'd be worth it.
  24. "Hi, my name's Chris Hanson and I'm from NBC Dateline's To Catch a Predator." Let us know when you guys make the show.
