Talk of Millard popping up in the original TV series reminds me a bit of Robotech's idea that every black character should be part of the same family.

Just to clarify, there was no US release of Macross VF-X2 but if things had gone as planned the VF-5000 would have replaced the VF-1. There was a VF-X2 demo released in the Official Playstation Magazine, but I don't remember if featured the VF-5000 or another VF.

The multiplayer is REALLY good. Uses an experience based system to unlock new perks, weapons, weapon add-ons and modes. Lots of fun.

That tattoo looks pretty bad dude. You should have waited until there was a better picture of it released, because going off that little poorly drawn piece in the trailer didn't work out well. Like, I'm guessing the thing in the middle is supposed to be a VF, not that you can really tell from the tattoo though... :-/ EDIT: Looking at that again, I hope to hell you drew that yourself with a ball point pen. The lines are horrible.

Banpresto is a subdivision of Bandai... so I'm not sure how such a buy out would be possible.

Picked up CoD4 on a whim last night. Had to settle for the Limited Edition, which really wasn't worth the extra $15, but I wanted the game then and there. Haven't touched multiplayer yet but the singleplayer is AWESOME. One of the best games I've played this year, and at least for single player its a lot better than Halo 3.

If you look at the blog post (surely a great source for news) your link refers to, it's two sources are a Daily Mail news story from the other day and a CBS News story from November 2006. The Daily Mail is a British tabloid, and the story they posted was an exaggeration of an event that happened LAST November. Well, I when viewed with it's contemporaries the OVA is pretty average for a late OVA adaption of a manga. It's hard to successfully compress a long running comic into a 45 minute OVA, and while it wasn't great or remotely as good as the source material, it wasn't horrible. The Movie was though. Unnecessary story changes that farted with Deunan and Briaeos' relationship, as well as a REALLY contrived plot twist made it pretty made it really awful in my book.

Appleseed manga = awesome. Appleseed OVA = awful Appleseed movie = absolute crap

That or Kawamori was finally ran out of creativity.

Well, it's just when you take something to such ridiculous extremes, it's hard not to find it amusing. I mean, that's gotta be the tackiest rim I've ever seen. I just hope whoever puts it on their car has the sense to have the interior redone with LV cloth (which sadly, people actually do). I find ridiculous stuff like this a lot less offensive than some turbo douche poser who puts a ton of money into his car to make it "really fast" and yet has never taken it on a track or a drag strip.

Cramming waggle control into ports of games from other systems doesn't count as "great gameplay." Plenty of pretty games on the 360 have gorgeous graphics AND are really fun to play.
