I have a hard time believing there are any Robotech fans who genuinely think Robotech came first. Most Robotech fans I've met have been fans of both series, and at least a basic understanding of the differences between the series and the Japanese originals and Robotech's origins. And for any extremely retarded Robotech fans that might buck the trend, I could point out just as many massive idiots on Macross World, so...

It makes me think they saw CoD4 and said "oh, it should be like... but against aliens."

Saw 1.1 tonight in a theatre. Glad it ended not being a totally shot-for-shot remake, but the first half of the movie seemed like a waste. Oddly I saw a lot of females in the audience, and not just ones that were dragged their by their boyfriend. Weird.

I saw the air races in San Francisco a few years ago and they were a huge disappointment. My friend's grandparents own an apartment RIGHT by the Bay, so we got to watch from there but it was still boring as heck. Best part was watching the Thunderbirds from the apartment's rooftop, but the races themselves were incredibly boring.

Life sure is tough, isn't it.

Considering this is Bandai Visual, I'm not how much there is to get excited about. These are the same guys who charge $80 for a no frills DVD release, or only release the Blu-Ray and regular DVD together in the same package. Simultaneous releases with english subs sounds good, but they will f*ck it up somehow or at the very least charge a small fortune for it.

I think you're really missing the point of them. They're fighting games, not single player adventure games. Do people complain because games like Virtua Fighter or Tekken are "too short?" The same reasoning applies to the gameplay, slight tweaks for better gameplay balance instead of a complete rehash. Not sure where you get the idea the graphics were poor though, a man who hates Naomi graphics probably has a black heart.

I keep thinking I accidentally clicked on the Mass Effect, but I guess not. NCSX just put up a pre-order for Operation Troy for June 26th, so I guess it's on the way after all. Will be interesting to see how terrible it is...

Good is probably a strong word for the films he puts out. They're passable, but he's a horribly overrated director that has had his hand in way too much crap to get much respect from me. As for him producing it being a bad thing (>Exo<) and using Transformers as an example, he also produced Band of Brothers which is probably the greatest war film/series/whatever ever, so...

The Giren's Greed series is a strategy game, basically Romance of the Three Kingdoms but for Gundam. If you can understand Japanese, they're probably the best Gundam game out there. Tons of fan service and alternate reality possibilities that fans would love. Hell, even if you can't understand Japanese they're still pretty solid strategy games. I think it's funny you use "length" as a basis of judgement on the Vs. series of games, since they're designed to be multiplayer games first and foremost.

It's too bad this thing was never street legal, otherwise it would have done a good job killing off the idiots who thought it was a good/cool idea.
