Some of us can actually read at a decent enough speed so that it's not an issue. Christ, I started watching subtitled anime when I was 12 and I've never felt like I was "missing" anything. As for being "best served" that's a load of BS. Just because some people can't read subtitles and follow action on screen doesn't mean that horrible dubs are doing me a favor, if anything they're doing me a disservice by making me sit through a terrible script with wretched voice actors ruining the original work. Anyways, I was an initial supporter of Bandai Visual. Their Patlabor releases were really, really nice and offered lower priced no-extras alternatives for those who didn't feel like spending $60 for the limited edition box. But it seems like their releases following Patlabor were utterly ruined by high prices, no extras and the absolutely retarded move of packaging the HDDVD/Blu-Ray with a regular DVD. That alone has got to be one of the dumbest moves in anime history.

Has anyone bought the Jumbo Grade Z Gundam yet? I always end up starring at it whenever I go to Toys R Us, as it looks like it's the coolest Gundam toy ever.

In Robotech Art III Macek mentions that when HG approached Tatsunoko about doing the The Sentinels, they pulled out a whole bunch of old unused designs from Southern Cross with the intention of maybe using them for the Sentinels. I've always been kind of curious if any of those designs were used, and if so which ones?

Trying to think of what notable Tatsunoko properties would be good for a fighting game aside from Gatchaman... I'm guessing Macross won't make an appearance.

Ugh, Densha Otoko is such crap. Part of it is that I can't stand typical BS Japanese dramas, but Densha Otoko was just painful to watch. The main character is such a complete dweeb/fartup by the 2nd episode I was completely tired of him. It has a few good jokes, but as a look at otaku culture it's utterly depressing.

Better yet skip the crap that is 00, Wing and Seed and go for the Gundam series that don't suck because those three are terrible. Watch the original MS Gundam and follow it up with Z Gundam.

That's kind of funny considering Wing Chun doesn't offer much practical exercise. Which is why you see lots of pot bellied/fatter guys doing Wing Chun that have quick enough arms/legs to take you down regardless.

Sports do not equal actual practical combat experience. Jackie Chan seems to have a fondness for Wing Chun, which puts him with a more practical skill set in a "real" fight. Still a dumb argument, though.
