And if he didn't die from the jet exhaust itslef, I'm sure all that debris and concrete didn't feel to great as it smacked into him...
-
yeah.. and HC wrote that.. Er, I never said that HC wrote that. I was using it as an example on how the crappy scripts certainly don't help the actors use whatever talents they have.
-
Lucas needs to stop hiring crappy actors to play Anakin. But I think a lot of the blame still lies on the script. "I don't like the sand, it's rough and coarse. Unlike you..."

Funny to look back and think that when I was a kid, I went crazy for these... Until I actually got a few. Horrid, horrid toys.
-
There is! Check out my sig for more info. Right now it's mostly fan art, but model and custom toy are just as welcome! Great model, btw. It's from the Judge Dredd movie, right?

I had assumed the Gamecube Nintendo game was dead, seeing as how nothing has been mentioned about it in quite a few months. Can't wait for all the news about the TGS to start rolling in. B)

Yes! Someone should do a Kawamori Valk girl. Very nice work BoB, use anything specific for reference?

Hey all, It was just brought to my attention that some people are using the site to host non-Macross art work. As of yet the site hasn't made a big dent in my bandwidth or my space, but if it comes down to it I'll have to remove the non-Macross stuff. I don't really care that much, just try to keep it to a minimum.

Kinda OT: A 7.8 Earthquake hit Japan today.
yellowlightman replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Makes sense I guess, I dunno as I said I know nothing about plate techtonics. Funny thing to me is people from other parts of the US always making comments about California's earthquakes. In my 19 years here I've felt all of three. One was the Napa earthwuake a few years ago, and a the other two were little tiny quakes down here in LA. I find peopel tend to get really over excited about earthquakes. -
Really? That's great to hear, glad to see his talent is being utilized and appreciated. He lives in San Francisco (or at least he did), wonder if we can get him to come to the Northern California MW meet.

Well, they are working on re-starting the Front Mission franchise. But I totally agree, during the PS1's heydey Square really branched out and did some cool, original stuff. Even if Ergheiz and Chocobo Racing weren't all that good, at least they were trying new stuff. Bushido Blade was amazing. Loved that game. Personally, I've always found Square pretty overrated. They seem to keep re-hashing the same old RPG formula over and over again, throwing in more cinemas doesn't count as originality/

Kawamori's a big Kubrick fan. Lots of 2001 homages in Macross Plus.

I think it's about the same, isn't it? Both are on the edge of the big pacific plate (I think) so it's a similar situation. Or maybe I'm talking out of my ass, I don't remember my Middle School earth sciences classes too well... <_< -
I used to make WW2 dioramas, most focused on German infantry and armor. Haven't touched that stuff in years though. For an assignment in 9th grade I made a diorama of some German soldiers and an AA gun, the next day I came in my teacher was apologizing because he had "broken" the AA gun by playing with it... He was a Army Reserve Tank crewman, so he loved that stuff.

There's been a lot of rumors lately about a FF7-2, but I think they were mostly debunked. Here's a quote from Video-Fenky, from Sep. 16th: Either way, I'm sure all will be revealed this weekend at TGS.

I'm probably biased because I'm a huge The Profession/LEON fan, and she was really good in that, even though she was 12. She was good in HEAT too, although that was a minor role. Wasn't too bad in Anywhere But Here either, and i can't remember any other movies she was in.

Yeah, I noticed the SKU comment, but it's just a general peeve of mine. In general companies like EA and Acclaim port sub-par PS2 games to the Gamecube and then complain about poor sales. The Gamecube is the ultimate port-bitch, and then the companies complain when people don't buy games already released. Guess it never occurred to them that if they made original, quality, games... people might actually buy them.

LOL... not nearly as bad as the first 2 minutes of Queen Amidala. Ironic seeing as how Natalie Portman is actually a good actor, a long with a fair amount of the rest of the cast of the prequels. But even the best actors look horrible with bad scripts. Personally I though the Epsiode 1 fight was pretty lame. Or maybe that was just my dislike of Darth Maul.

I could care less about T3, but I was really looking forward to Driver 3. Bummer. Funny they talk about needing to maximize quality in all aspects of the title and then ditch the Gamecube whiel sticking with the PS2. If I had a penny for every multi-system game that looked liek ass because it had to run on the PS2...

Yeah, whether or not you know your Macross you should be more considerate of the people that post on these boards. There are people from all over the world that post on here, and comments like that aren't apreciated. Just be more considerate and next you want to make a comment like that, don't.
-
People alreayd mentioned you can find them on my site, but I figured I should mention they were done by Albert known as al0324 on the boards. Great artist. White Drew your art rocks as always.
-
Definately keep 'em coming, they're getting even better. Love the first one.

This was just discussed in the Other Anime & Sci Fi forum in a topic about ExoSquad, but Playmates did in fact use the Robotech license to manufacture destroids, along with a few other toys (like an Invid Trooper). There's debate over whether or not they were actually ever going to be used in the series before it got cancelled, but I guess we'll never know that.

Having blundered my way through much of a Super Robot Wars game or 2, I think I can handle it. Ahh, should be a cinch then. Have fun, it's a great game!

I think the idea of a Longhorns Squadron is kinda weird. I generally don't associate large range animals with Macross, but whatever. The colors don't bother me that much, seeing as how we'll barely noticed the color or the ridiculous squadron logo in gameplay. As for White Drew's chilling picture: But it makes you wonder, what kind of effect would Richard Simmons have on the Zentradi? It's a chilling thought.
