I played SNK vs. Capcom Chaos in the arcadein Little Tokyo this weekend, and got the absolute crap kicked out of me with my bets character. I dunno if I just suck, or the difficulty was turned way up or maybe it's because I'm rusty... but that was a waste of my quarter.

Oddly enough, BGCrash is supposedly more or less what the final 5 episodes of BGCrisis would have been. Albeit heavily edited and cut down, it's generally believed some of the original story is there. But it's still really disapointing either way.

There's no way Sega is getting back into the console businessm they're trying to streamline themselves into a profitable company and its obvious (to them and everyone else) making their own consoles hasn't worked well for them since the Genesis days. Also, the Magicbox is well known for crappy translations, so take anything they say with a big chunk of salt.

Hrmm... You are kind right, but WDC's art is way better than Ben Dunn's in my opinion. Dunn has a really generic looking style, way overrated i think. Awesome work as always WDC!

I just finished reading Ghost in the Shell for the first time (Thanks Alex). Is GiTS2 worth picking up? I'm thinking I'll probably wait for the trade paperback if I do get it.. are issues still being released? I'm so out of the loop...

The Japanese pronounce l's and r's the same, so Millia and Miria (or Miriya) are basically all the same. In Japanese, all the spellings sound the same. But it seems like for the most part Millia is the official? I dunno, since Japanese engrish can differ from product to product.

The plot for GSC was certianly no worse than your average Hollywood movie, but his ability to draw pretty girls, realistic guns and amazing action sequences is what made the comic so good. Quite stylish for a manga.

They just evacuated Cal State Northridge's campus, but not the dorms (where I am). It's really really smokey everwhere, to the point where I can smell it inside my apartment a little. Still not sure if Im gonna go somewhere else tonight, I doubt we're in real fire danger... but the smoke is a problem.

Grand Mal is utter trash. I don't mind his art style so much, it's okay for what it is. But he managed to mess up Priss' character reeeeeeeeeally bad. The general storyline was really... eh, whats the point? I was not impressed. Better off picking up AD police or AD Police 25:00 if you want a BGC comic fix.

About the DVD problems, I bought the second boxed set (I know the first release had lots of problems) and it's fine, as far as I can tell. Am I missing something?

Oddly enough Tenchi Muyo originated from a rejected story idea for BGC, where the four Knight Saber girls went to a hot springs. I'm a huge Bubblegum Crisis fan. It was the first real anime I ever saw, and still one of my most favorite to this day. A few years ago I managed to pick up the BGC B-Club special for the low-low price of $50. I've never seen the newer series, and nor do I want to. And the AD Police manga rocks.

Damn, I hadn't realized how many of you guys lived so near by me. In Northridge todaythere were huge brown clouds near the foothills. My girlfriend lives near Pomona/Claremont and the air is horrible over there, tons of ash falling from the sky.

Sounds like someone hasn't seen Home Fries, that movie rocked! <_< I was pretty unimpressed by Charlie's Angels, the whoel wire-fu thing with people you know that couldn't do anything near that in real life... sucked.
