I thought he said it was a 99' M3, the e46 version came out in 2000. Just double checked with my BMW-guru friend, the e46 M3s came out in 2001. So yeah, a '99 would be a e36. My bad.

The common misconception of the Corvette. The current Z06 will outperform an e46 M3 in any measure of performance. It's not your typical American muscle car in that it only goes fast in a straight line, it's an awesome car that gets dissed because of the bad reputation of American cars. I'm not saying the M3 is a bad car, it's an awsome car... but don't under estimate the current Corvette because it doesn't have the snobby branding of a European sports car manufacturer.

Since this was a guy's school project, the whole "good studying" thing comes off as very kiss-ass. If it wasn't for a school project, he's just a square. In my high school Japanese classes I don't think anyone didn't cheat at least once, it was so easy to do.

Between Initial D and the whole drifting scene, prices for the Corolla GTS are crazy. Hard to find a decent one for under $4k. It's a good car, but not worth that much. Especially since you can buy a first generation MR2 which has the same chassis, same engine and handles much better for a lot less. Same thing with 240sx's, their resale prices are beginning to rise.

Not to mention a bare CF hood is key bait. Most friends I know with CF hoods have gotten them keyed all to hell by jerks.

Actually, at teh last MW Con there were two Macross themed cars. Nick (Solscuds) is sort of Macross-themed, and a lurker had her Macross Integra there...

Well, for one they don't have the Acura brand in Japan. And for two, that car is an Integra which is sold as an Acura here. I think theme cars are pretty hideous in general, unless done really well.

I agree, go with the console. The main advantage of PC gaming right now is online, which you can do with an Xbox (or PS2) anyways.

From what I hear, the Atomiswave board is more or less just a a Dreamcast... wonder if we'll see any ports.
