  1. Definately don't count out the CSU's, they have some really good schools. BobePat here on Macross World went to CSU Northridge in the art program (I think) so he might be able to give you some opinions about that school's program as well.
  2. I'm surprised we haven't seen an artbook of some form for this series yet. Keep my fingers crossed for something after episode 5 comes out...
  3. So you're holding out for a Millia Real Doll, eh?
  4. Hey, I'm personally offended by the idea of firearms. Don't put your labels on me! The way I see it, sigs are still part of the message board... No reason to let them have political stuff. Ultimately, I'd say err on the side of caution and just prohibit any and all things that could be construed as politically-related. Playing it safe won't offend anybody, and for crying out loud this is Macross World not Macross and the Fan's Who Like Macross' Personal Views World.
  5. While the episodes are pretty self contained, and can be watched individually BGC does have an overall story arc, it just takes a break from it in episodes 4, 7, and 8. The AD Police manga, and BGC episodes 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 are all part of a larger storyline arc that was supposed to be resolved in the last five episodes, involving the relationship between Sylia and Mason/Largo. I've heard that BGCrash was a heavily edited/condensed version of the original last five episodes, but to be honest I watch BGCrash episode 1 once and never had the stomach to finish the series.
  6. Better avoid the original series then. It was cancelled with about 5 episodes left, and the story definately leaves you hanging. They don't exist in the same continuity, seperate entities entirely.
  7. Shame on those Japanese singers for not having exquisitely perfectly english!
  8. The female cast is definately there for the amusement of male viewers, not female ones. Would you rather have a bunch of dudes hopping around in skin tight hardsuits?
  9. Is this a new one or something different different from the other Medal of Honor game set in the Pacific?
  10. Hurricane Live 2032 or 2033. Those were DEFINATELY cheesy.
  11. Kenichi Sonada's character designs look awful compared to the generic El Hazard-ripoff designs used in 2040? I'm pretty surprised at that statement.
  12. Definately not a bad thing. The graphics are disapointing though, they look very bland and colorless.
  13. Rewatch it with the sub instead, the dub of BGC is one of the worst in the history of anime. You're gonna have to like 80's music to appreciate the music. Otherwise I don't see how else it might be cheesy, I mean, it's... anime.
  14. Not to mention all those "Monster of the Week" villians were cut out. Good-bye Zakurello.
  15. As fast as Soul Calibur? They do realize these are huge giant robots, not peopel right? The Mobile Suits dont move that fast. I'm playing the hell out of Z Gundam: AEUG vs. Titans right now (both the arcade version and the PS2) and I'd be impressedif they outdid this game in terms of how damn fun it is. I also played the heck out of Giren's Greed for the PS, so I'm hesistant on if this will really be the "best."
  16. Yeah, god forbid that Robotech is actually relevant to the history of anime fandom in America.
  17. Yamato has this wooden mockup of the Garland?? So like you said, they got that all figured out? I think he means there was a wooden mock-up in an art book, likely used back when the animation was in production.
  18. Both those fail in comparison to the bad ass he was in Training Day. Although he wasn't a particularly nice guy, either.
  19. Technically, those are motoslaves as well. The largest motoslave which Linna uses to shoot the orbital laser was a prototype developed by Sylia that wouldn't transform correctly and was thus permanently stuck in suit mode.
  20. There's a front page?
  21. Is this the Japanese Wonderfest or the American one? I'm in Tokyo right now, anyone got a link to info on it?
  22. What the hell does it matter how 'important' a series is? If it does, you shouldn't be worrying about cartoons. Although really, getting into an otaku Batman TAS vs. Z Gundam does sound really fun.
  23. Exo and I have been discussing this on AIM and I think its becoming obvious the 2040 suits are very, very similar to the second generation suits from 2033. This is from 2033 This is from 2040 The 2040 suits are a big more angular, sharper edges, but all in all they seem very similar. I dont think its really going to matter that much, just see what logo they use on the packaging...
  24. That sounds like it could be true, as I said I havent seen the series in forever. I'm really happy after all these years were getting a toy like this, hopefully it'll sell well enough to make for a decent sized lineup. Although thats probably just wishful thinking.
