  1. No. The first two were very expensive to make and sold like poo. In the current era of Sammy-owned SEGA frugality, it's doubtful Yu Suzuki will be able to get that much money again to make a game that won't sell. Disapointing, because I'm a big Shenmue fan.
  2. Isn't a Xenosaga anime a little redundant? A game that has THAT MUCH in game cinema doesn't need an anime because it's already 3/4ths anime already.
  3. But comparing him to the guy that made Mallrats and Jersey Girl, that's liek comparing rotten oranges to rotten oranges. Maybe they shoudl just stop making Star Wars crap, save the few remaining un-raped childhoods out there.
  4. Ali Sama is telling Japanese 101 jokes. The picture is small.. but to be honest it looks like a cheap little toy.
  5. Pretty sure the biggest complaints are that it uses a VHS master and the subtitles are hardcoded onto the transfer.
  6. If only we could sue for offensively bad artwork and questionable moral character. But where does one draw the line between lawsuit and vigilante justice?
  7. Looks good man, how'd you make those clouds?
  8. It's been years since I've seen Macross II, but why would there be eyecatches? Macross II was an OAV series, not a TV series.
  9. WTF!? ruining toys? Todd McFarlene has contributed SOOOO much to modern toy making view its not funny! Todd McFarlene practically defined hi-detail sculpting....granted his toys arent the most posable, buts thats a whole different area of toys. I won't deny that they're amazingly sculpted poseable statues, but they're not "toys." Every single Todd McFarlane toy I ever bought broke and was near unplayable with, and 10 years ago when I was young enough to care about stuff like that... it irked me.
  10. As much as I think McFarlane is an assclown, the lawsuit does sound like BS. Maybe it's just karma for being associated with Rob Liefeld, making the most overrated comic of the last 20 years and ruining the word "toys."
  11. It's not a real safety film, it's a short film done in the style/pardoying late 80's West German safety films. At one point I had the website of the producers, but that seems to have disapeared from my bookmarks.
  12. Yeah, gross... but definately looks fake. The edges aroudn the bloody areas near the top are particularly suspect.
  13. That statement is generalizing too much. It's only the best selling genre in the US market. Well, it helps that the US market is the largest market...
  14. Oh man, let the bashing begin... (er, continue with a new fuel to the fire )
  15. My favorite by far is the High-Lows, they only band I've heard that really knows how to "rock," although I suppose technically they're a punk band.
  16. Yeeeeeah, we'll see how long that pic stays up.
  17. EA is a horrible, horrible company so I'm not surprised. But I don't play football videogames, so it doesn't affect me too much. But monopolies suck.
  18. What is it with Lucas and hands??? I am guessing you have never been in a sword fight. What do you think is most at risk... your ass? I do full contact sparring with padded swords, and I can testify that hands and forearms are the most commonly hit areas. Graham In fencing the blows are mostly in the fingers, hands, forearms, legs and face... that is why all of the protective equipment. The never hit the freaking body! For what it's worth in kendo (think of what light sabers are based on...) the three places you attack are the hands, the head and the stomach.
  19. I came so close to grabbing this game this summer at a SofMap in Shinjuku, but passed on it for whatever reason. Was less than 2,000yen too...
  20. I'm kind of in the same boat, but for us, GitS2 played at our brand-new stadium seating theater, and that's pretty cool. Our theater will usually play the big releases, but usually has 2-3 indie-type films playing any given week. I can only cross my fingers and hope... Hah, my "arty" theatre is a big stadium theatre as well, just that it tends to play some more random indie type films, like GiTS2. Weird since the other theatre in town, a crapy 20-year old one is the theatre that gets all the big blockbusters. But I digress...
  21. Yeah, I'm wondering how wide a release Appleseed will have. It was nice that my podunk little town got GiTS2 in our local "arty" theatre, but i doubt Appleseed will see such a wide release.
  22. Showed up fine for me in Mozilla, what browser you using? As for everyone else going "Wtf!?" it's a Japanese website (in english, but the writer is in Japan... check the domain name) about the Robotech comic book series, Robotech: Aftermath.
  23. Believe it when I see it, given the waning popularity of Gundam in the States and the fact that lots of "developed" movie ideas never make it past pre-production, I'm not holding my breath on this one showing up.
  24. Meh back then I thikn that was a pretty good translation of his name. Like the old Jion translation of Zeon. Jion is more gramatically correct as is Sha from a strict kana to english standpoint. THough i do agree, Char looks cooler. Yeah, I agree that it is the right way to translate his name because that's how his name is actually pronounced in Japanese, just that fans gave Schodt crap over it because the accepted Japanese romanization of the name has always been Char.
