why would they need to build a resin sculpt for the G? i can understand why with the RVF-25 because of the radome, but isn't the G completely the same valk except for the head and gunpod?

i think people's expectations of bandai are high because bandai's 1/72 scale model looks so great, better in fact then the 1/60 dx. all of the complaints mentioned about the 1/60 dx sculpt are non-existent in the 1/72 scale model. it just doesn't make sense that they could make the model have perfect proportions and not have a larger scale toy have perfect proportions.

i understand japanese, and i am really really sure it was a harem ending. the part that you're referring to, nothing was really mentioned about the love triangle. it was more like cheesy inspirational dialogue. sheryl: "i can't go on any longer. you gotta take my place ranka!" ranka: "imma slap you for tryin to give up! remember alto and i wouldn't be where we're at if it weren't for you!" alto: "yeah sheryl! you and ranka are my wings!"

haha must admit the same question crossed my mind when i was watching ep 25. as i said in other threads, ep 25 left us with many plot holes and unanswered questions, but it still didn't prevent me from enjoying it!!

actually no where during the series do they actually say that the vajra came from another galaxy. they say that there are other hives in other galaxies, but it is never mentioned whether they first originated from this galaxy or not. assuming that the vajra originated from another galaxy would be pure speculation at this point. also, no where in the series does it suggest that the protoculture left behind the fold quartz. in fact, fold quartz allows for technology that the protoculture never had, which strongly suggests that the protoculture did not leave behind the fold quartz. rather, during the series it is stated that the fold quartz are created by the vajra and can only be found in their bodies. in this last episode grace clearly states that the protoculture did not have the tech that the vajra had and feared and admired the vajra because of it. if you're not gonna take my word for it then you'll just have to wait for subs.

you must not realize it but i don't need subs. the birdman flashback was a flashback to the birdman on earth from macross zero. during the flashback, grace explains that the protoculture feared and admired the vajra and even tried to emulate them (strongly suggesting that they made the birdman in an attempt to emulate the vajra). i think that's a clear indication that the vajra were not made by the protoculture at all. as far as the "protoculture stone" on the vajra planet. bah, that doesn't prove anything, that could just be some rock. even if it is a rock similar to those found in the mayan ruins it could just as easily be explained as a vajra rock. the protoculture could have made rocks and symbols similar to the vajra because they admired the vajra and tried to emulate them. so imo there is nothing that proves the vajra settled on a former protoculture homeworld.

not quite. here's a better translation: ranka explains that the vajra think and feel as one, and they couldn't understand why humans are so independent, scattered, and sometimes quarrel some. because ranka had fold communications ability, they considered her similar to themselves and kept trying to rescue her from the humans which they did not understand. thanks to her and sheryl having different songs, they finally understood that this sense of individuality in humans is not necessarily a bad thing and that humans weren't all bad.

i was right that the vajra weren't created by the protoculture. i was right that the vajra homeworld was just the vajra homeworld and ties to the protoculture remain inconclusive. i don't think i posted it but i was pretty darn convinced that michel wasn't coming back.

OMG THAT WAS INCREDIBLE i had thoroughly convinced myself that i would be disappointed by the finale because it seemed like there were too many loose ends to tie up. well they didn't tie up all the loose ends and the love triangle wasn't even decided and yet it was still completely fraggin awesome!!!! can't believe they pulled that off!!!! and the rumors of a movie were true!!!! that's an opportunity to tie up loose ends that weren't covered in the series!!!! having something to look forward to even after the series is done is far more than i ever expected!!!!! edit: and the dodgers just clinched a playoff spot!!! i think this is officially the best day of my life....
