Have You Ever Met A Celebrity Or Famous Person?
BoBe-Patt replied to Phalanx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
hmm.. lemme see... Jessica Simpson - She went to the restaurant that's right next to my work. I passed right by while she was standing outside waiting for the valet parking guy to get her car and she said "hi" Vince Vaughn - He came to my work to see what we were doing with his movie, the break-up. I shook his hand and talk to him about the project for a little bit. Jay Mohr - Met him at a flower shop the day before valentines day. My friend and I were there talking to the owner of the flower shop and he joined in on our converstion and started cracking some jokes. Pretty funny guy. Brian Mcknight - He was shopping in the burbank mall. I was the first one to spot him, shook his hand and complimented him about his album, then he got bum rushed by the fans. Terrence Howard - He was a member at the Burbank YMCA, and I use to work there at the customer service desk. Jay Leno - See him on the street everytime I drive on san fernando rd., he's always driving some old classic car. Saw him again at In and Out and he was in line behind me with his whole entourage. Wes Bentley - He was also a member at the YMCA. Michael Jai White - Came in time to time to teach Karate at the YMCA Chris Tucker - Met him at the Northridge mall. Dave Chapelle - Passed by me in San Diego and said whattup. Tisha Campbell - Met her when I use to work at toys r us at the cash register Mos Def - Funny how I met him. I was in Kid Robot in santa monica 3rd street. He was there buying some stuff, and spotted my shoes and said. " yo, those are some dope shoes!" I was wearing Jordan XII's. He shook my hand but there was something wrong with him. After he shook my hand he went to go reach for the bag that he put down and missed it and kept on trying to grab the bag but couldn't. Then I realized that foo was high as a kite! Teri Hatcher - I use to work for a private school in northridge and her daughter attended that school. So she was always picks her up. Lenny Kravitz - His daughter went to that school I worked at too, but I only saw him come by once to pick her up. Steven Seagal - I took Aikido classes a while ago and my sensei use to train with Steven Seagal, so he came in to train and teach us a couple of times. Shaun White pro snowboarder - I met him on the flight from Tahoe to LAX. He actually cut in line and was behind me at the luggage check in line. I'm sure there's more, but I'll list them later if I can remember... -
are there any pix of this?
-
awww.... what's up with the repaints? that's crap!!! I'll still buy em!
-
I'm definitely picking up two of these! Too bad it doesn't come with fast packs.... Anyway, doesn't anybody notice the heatshield being black instead of red? So is it gonna be changed to red? Or kept at black?
-
Dang, I hope it's not the stealth's he's talking about. Because the only boxes that come all white and blank are the super/strike stealth. That's just my guess, but I hope I'm wrong because I'm getting one and I wouldn't want my set to have a lot of the stuff missing.
-
thank you too! nice toy! i played with it last night ehehehe 407778 haha, nice.... I'm not gonna say anything to that....
-
Great poster! Mind sharing where you obtained it from and how much? Thanks! 407608 wow, you never saw this wall scroll before? I bought mine back in 2001. I'm sure there's plenty more in chinatown/ toy district. I'm sure they'll have it at AX as well. I saw it every time I went to AX. I bought it at 10 bucks. I'll see if they have any more in the toy district. Besides, these aren't official wall scrolls, so it's nothing to get worked up over, granted it looks pretty cool on the wall. Deelux, welcome... finally! 5 years huh? that's a long time lurking. You must've missed out on a lot of deals in the for sale section. Anyway, you ever go to Frank and Sons?
-
actually the japanese version came with stickers that you can convert the 1S roy into a 1S hikaru. But the only problem is the chest color is painted on so you can't really convert it without painting the chest red.
-
wow, looks like this could be the japanese version you have on your hands here. But the only difference between the US release and the Japanese versions are the stickers. So no biggie in prices for a loose one. So judging by the pictures, the only problem I can see is the yellow on the chest seems to be dirty. The rest of the valk looks ok to me. No major yellowing problem. So yeah, I'd offer up 35 shipped, only becaues it's missing the leg armor. So just see what he says about 35 shipped. Good luck
-
wow, you actually have 1/48's at your work?!?!? crazy. I guess you trust nobody will touch or steal your toys huh? That's awesome.
-
wow, nice. I know everybody's already called dibs on these toys. Damn, I totally missed out. So what G.I. Joe figures you have? I might be interested in some of those. Do you have any transformers? Let me know! I'd be interested!
-
Well of course you did. I'm kinda surprised you only got one! 407081 haha, I know. I didn't want to be greedy and buy another one, because I knew these were going to be limited, and besides, these were expensive!
-
I got one.
-
I gotta see pix, but from you just described, I'll probably pay about 30 shipped. Post pix if you can.
-
haha, I know I know. My coworker was cleaning out her office to move to our NY office, and came across two spam cans. She know's that I love spam so she gave them to me. I just display it there, not gonna eat it. Maybe for real emergencies. hehe. Every time my co-workers come in my office, they always have to touch my toys. Especially my Rubik's snake and my SD optimus prime.
-
Whoa, cool! Where'd you'd get that all silver valkyrie?!? Is it a 1/48 custom? 406807 haha, I wish. It's even a toy. It's the 1/100 bandai model special coated version. Pretty cool model.

Believe it or not, the minty strikes have been only going for less then 300 bucks. Demand hasn't been high for these. So buy it now while it's cheap!
-
man, these use to fetch like 400+ back in the day. Now they are a lot cheaper. They range from 150 to 250 mint in box, and 50 to 100 loose. Not bad. I know where to get a boxed vf-1s minty fresh for 200. I don't have the money to drop on it but I will later.
-
you guys can check out my collection here: My collection page
-
it's different now, I'll take some pix of my new shelves at work later.
-
ok, I got a chance to dig up my old pix of my desk at work. enjoy!
-
so why did you get this again? Did you have two before? You just dropped 500 bills on something you already had. I know you sold them but doesn't make sense because the ones you had before looked a lot more minty than this one. And Isoldit sucks because they charge 15 bucks for shipping already. Which is total BS. I bought a TF from them and they charged me 15 bucks for shipping! The TF didnt even weigh that much, basically next to nothing. Bastids!!
