I disagree about the english version having better sounds - the gunpods sound like lasers. The movie does have the superior sounds of all - so I agree there.

Idol Talk is very interesting, I didn't make out what was being said when I first heard it. Now it is plain as day when I hear it. My personal favorite is Wanna Be An Angel, at least right now it is.

The Starbird was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid. It was a starship that made cool sounds and could come apart and be reconfigured in different modes (such as a shuttle). The litttle gray things on the end of its wings are fighters. I really wish I still had it. It got played with quite a bit and eventually ended up getting thrown away after a few years of abuse from me. I still have my Starbird, buried deep in the closet. I even have ROM hidden away. These toys really bring me back. ROM had so many cool attachments and awesome sounds. The Starbird was something that only I had on the local block and all my friends were jealous of this thing. The sound effect gimic was pure gold.

For anyone on the fence about getting this set. Don't be, it is well worth the money. I felt that I didn't need them, I had the Robotrash stuff. I knew about the differences and didn't want to spend the money. I then decided to buy them when I saw a discount rate and was blown away. Animeigo has done a great job on these, they are my most treasured DVD's in my entire collection.

Got to say this thing is really ugly. (VA-3 Invader) The faces on the M7 valks are strange but they aren't really ugly to me.
