Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 25 - READ 1st POST

Meaning, it is time to sell the franchise to Bandai just like Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney. This might get us a better Macross series. I think they should've just stuck with the ten year cycle for the series, 2016 is clearly two years to early to have released Macross Delta. -

No really, Seto, tell us how you really feel... don't hold back. Didn't I suggest waiting until next week so you only have to puke once. -

As for Roid being a creep, well, what do we expect, use the power stun word, punch Mikumo in the babymaker (good one podcast guys), bondage, then sharing with Ketchup boy. The only thing he hasn't done is brought in a bird and a sword at this point, and the series still isn't over yet. There was some hope for Roid in the beginning, but the best thing you can say about him is that he is a pale creepy version of Grace, nowhere near as intelligent or capable, but somehow, thanks to the crap writing, still manages to be a world class a**hole. -

Oh great idea, throw in the games too... more fighters.. more toys to sell. I suggest you wait till episode 26 is out, my logic is this; that way, you only have to puke once instead of twice. And on the off chance, 26 is so shockingly good, you might not puke at all. But take the others advice, get lots of beer, and may be Ernie will look like Milia after a few minutes... -

Hey, that means Ozama and SMS could have a whole new color scheme for their -25s; more toy sales. They should definitely do it... and let's not forget Hikaru, (already on the path to bringing back Megaroad-1), and let's see, already mentioned Max and Milia, don't forget Isamu, and Guld... oh wait, Guld is dead, but hey, since we already had a new color scheme for the VF-22, Guld isn't needed. Need a different color scheme for VF-19 and other types of FAST packs though. And didn't we just get a VF-4 Lightning release on the Master Files, quick, throw in some FAST packs, and let Hikaru on it, more toys... Did I miss anyone? Oh, can't believe I forgot Shin, he can magically come back with Sara and do a sing along on the Vintage VF-0, with all new accessory packs and paint scheme of course. sorry, really going overboard, aren't I? -

Just watched the subs. All I can say is there better be an episode 27. I remember Mac F; where they were very good about spreading out the finale into two episodes and making it have impact. The ending already feels rushed at this point, and we are still almost a week out. Heck, the ending felt rushed probably since episode 20. Oh man, I hope not. If they do that, they may as well bring back Max and Milia while they are at it. I figure it would take one of them about 10 seconds to put down the AKs. Eight seconds of which would be accounting for the slowing reflexes due to age and them using VF-1s. At least that way, we could get some mecha action. -

Controlled from the magical finger tips of the Walkure.... remember, if they can control some drones, why not a whole Koeing from their finger tips. Size matters not, do or do not.... or some BS like that. It's probably all being Kaname controlling the shuttle or something, and there is some mild AI involved. -

Too bad it wasn't an armor piercing incendiary round. It would be kind of weird if Makina caught fire at the same time. Windermereans have an excuse too... their superior human attributes make them suck at shooting. Finally, Roid is hitting all the highlights, bondage, child abuse, I'm just waiting for him to bring out one of the birds on Windermere. -

Oh, I must've missed that one... so weird, finger nails as phones. I figured it was more natural for the Walkure, a girl thing, right? Well, there were at least a couple of decent episodes.... But then I do find that tech in this particular series seem a little inconsistent. -

I think we have to just chalk this whole rescue to bad writing. It would've been entirely believable if Arad had been in his Siggy and controlling the other two remotely, there is a precedent for that with the VF-1EX, but Arad was not in his plane, he was in a VF-22 with none of the right protocols (at least I hope not, after seven years) The other possibility is Reina was controlling both planes remotely, that I think is actually pretty realistic. Preconfiguring the fighter to pick you up as you jumped off a cliff takes a little more imagination. As for the fingernails, I thought that was a Walkure thing, they always had holograms and such on those nails of theirs. i-Nails anyone? -

The bigger question is why he bothered to use the VF-22 in the first place when he had a perfectly usable VF-31, presumably within the sound of his magical voice. My only guess is that his Sig didn't have enough room for all three Walkures. But hey, Kaname could've ridden on his lap while the VF-31 picked up one Walkure per hand. I can only suppose that the VF-31 is able to pick up exactly the triangle because they have some type of weird neural interface with the planes... otherwise, the triangle would've splattered on the bottom of that mountain... of course, then it doesn't explain Arad's need to live the good ol' days in an last generation fighter. Also, makes me wonder who exactly is Makina riding with nowadays? I presume it used to be Messer, but since Messer is gone, Makina has no more Valk ride any more. -

the only reason that the knife isn't a beam saber is that then this would become too related to Gundam. Although I found it odd that the AKs do not have any edged weapons on their Valks, for all of their insistence on wearing the very same on their person. -

"Klaatu Barada Nikto" Just say the magic word, and all will be well. Waiting for the subs now. This episode certainly seems to be more interesting than the last one, but there is just this feeling that we've seen this before somewhere in this series. -

I have to agree with the Macross 7 comparison by Seto, initially it was quite weak, but the storyline developed eventually. You could argue they could've pared Macross 7 down, glad they didn't. They either need to develop these characters, or not bother at all. With Mac7, there was also familiarity in terms of some of the characters that could continue to hold interest. But onto this episode.... -

I love that LensCrafters comment, so this is not a Freyja flashback episode. That's too bad. I guess that means no Bogue or Hermann flashback episodes. -

My only hope is that this will have an epic end with Elysion vs SV, but that hope is just fading fast right now. Whatever you might want to say about Macross F, episode 25 was pretty good, even with some reused animation, the Galaxy vs Frontier fight was pretty decent. They even threw in some ghosts for flavoring... I just don't see an epic fight with Elysion, just as well I suppose, even if there was one, there has been no build up at all, it'll feel flat, but on the plus side, no more Ernie. And dammit, I'm still waiting for Bert. -
