As cool as some 3rd party figures are, I stopped collecting them a long time ago because of their price, because I'd rather collect more Macross toys, and because I realize with scale and everything else that "MP" will never reach as close as a G1 complete line as CHUG has tried to do.

The Glaug is still available at amiami and cdjapan if anybody needs it.

Back to TFs, I really wish Takara had eschewed those terribly inadequate hand/foot/weapon parts in lieu of proper hands and feet that are scaled to the combined figures. I realize there are 3P products, but my point is, there shouldn't be a need.

I have the G1 Menasor feet pegged right underneath the CW Menasor feet and it looks fine by me. However it requires the purple foot piece from 2 CW Dragstrips. Luckily I sold one Dragstrip.

Regarding people posting their childhood toy memories in this thread. They are cool to read and quite interesting but maybe someone should start another thread titled "Old School Toy Memories" or something.

Yep 6 Monsters and at least 5 Tomahawks.

Realistically I plan on getting at least 2 or 3 Monsters. 1 Monster for the SDFM display and 1 Monster for the DYRL display. As for Destroids I plan on troop building them because the more there are, the more badass it looks.

This hmr series may not be perfect, but it sure is making me happy to see items other than just another valkyrie repaint all the time.
