  1. Some good old Australian touring car racing from the 1970's.. 1976 to be more specific which is my birth year actually! LOL!
  2. Hey, yeah they aren't bad but they aren't particularly exciting either.. I went and drove one to get a direct comparison between my 2016 Holden Commodore SS as that seems to be the hot topic down here is Australia and although the Kia is a decent car, well equipped and great performance being a bit quicker than my SS, it just didn't feel as engaging or raw as the Commodore feels. The other thing with the Stinger is it looks too similar to other Kia models and doesn't have that tough look or the stance the Commodores have. Maybe for someone looking at a large performance sedan without the hefty v8 fuel bill then the Kia is a great option but personally I love the sound and feel of the big V8 in the Holden. And the other major negative about the Kia is there's no manual option.. as good as the 8 speed auto seemed to be it's just not the same for me as I've always been a manual (stick shift) kinda guy..

WOW! and the price rises another 3000 yen in the process.. NY you cheeky buggers! Congrats all the same though. Just got order preparation notice for mine. Hopefully they don't muck about and get it posted soon.

    Bandai DX VF-31

It does look pretty cool with the missiles so I'll most likely display it that way!

    Bandai DX VF-31

I was a little bummed when they revealed its limited availability which did take the shine off it and I pretty much accepted that I wouldn't get one unless I was lucky enough to find one on Mandarake or elsewhere.. glad things turned out alright in the end! Still haven't got order preparation notice from NY yet though.. c'mon guys get on with it and ship my Valkyrie already! a nice little addition indeed! I can't quite remember from Delta but how often were those reaction missiles fitted?
  6. I might give this book a miss.. I would like to get it but its gonna cost me about $90 (aud) which I think is a bit much considering I just spent a small fortune on a VF-31J Kai..
  7. WOW! absolutely love this! Hope it becomes a thing!

    Bandai DX VF-31

when its limited availability was initially announced I thought oh well its really not much different from the original anyway but now that a few have filtered out into the market and been reasonably easy to acquire I'm thinking quite differently about it and quite glad I was able to snag one. I do like the paint scheme even if overall its very similar.. Besides after selling off my 31J duplicates, this one will be a welcome addition!
  9. whats the book on the right? and where did you get it?

Hey hi Noel! Not much mate, just been taking a bit of a step back from toys atm.. most I've been doing is buying and selling 1:18 cars. Though the VF-31J Kai came up so I snapped one up! PM me if you're up for a chat!

have had a similar experience with NNG myself.. Was almost impossible to get a reasonable response from them and they only replied once I put in a paypal claim also.
  16. wondering if this VF-1J will be a lone release for this scale? I still have no interest in starting up a new collection in a different scale than 1:60.. though I am curious to how good this will be. I'd still consider buying a one off in a larger scale as a novelty thing and considering the VF-1J is my all time favorite Valkyrie but I was hoping it would be bigger than 1:48.. The YF-19 is a definite must have!

From the feedback on this forum alone it most certainly seems to be the case! Even though I have never been a big fan of the VF-2, the HMR version does grab my attention. I'm definitely considering it. But there are a few 1:18 cars of around similar money which are also on my mind and the thing about the HMR which kinda holds me back a little is the scale and the fact I decided a while back not to collect any more of the line after the Monster.. But it would still be nice to have the VF-2 in hand to mess about with. More thought on the matter is required me thinks.

the HMR VF-2SS does look pretty good compared to the Evo Toys garbage.. I am seriously considering snapping up one of these HMR versions!
