and to think I actually pre-ordered but then cancelled one of these for much much more than I eventually paid for one.. got mine from Mandarake for only 7,000 yen! ahh yes an acquired taste indeed! although initially I really didn't care much for the paint scheme but paying so little for the one I eventually bought has made it grow on me! Now I couldn't imagine my VF-1 collection without it! hehe! that was quick! good price too! never mind the "box damaged" comment as everything I have bought from Mandarake has listed the box damage and 9 out of 10 times the boxes have been 99% ok! gahh!! thats a great price! im still chasing the Max & Milia pair of J's.. so rare and pricey when found..

Mine arrived today! Finish quality looks quite good! Loving the paint scheme! Looks so much better in the flesh than from pics on the net. Blue paint edge on the spine isn't quite consistent but other than that no major or silly defects to report.. overall im extremely happy with it! Will see how long it takes the misses to notice another Valkyrie sitting in the collection! I can see it now.. "oh really! Another one!?"

Its good to see some positive comments about the Prophecy! Can't wait for mine to arrive! Should land in Sydney any moment now!! And I see a few ppl buying multiples.. Gee I'd love to also but a combination of too little room to display, not cashed up enough and don't want to upset the misses means it ain't gonna happen.. But maybe I'll sneak in a second YF-30 purchase at some point! Hehe!

Well heck why not 3 of em then! one for each mode! Like my VF-1 Kakizaki's! Really liked the VF-0D in Zero so I think this one is gonna be a very special release! Might have to start a savings plan now so I can afford them all!

Lovely collection so far! Keep on collecting! Are you going to get any Valks from the earlier series? A few VF-19's and VF-1's mixed in there would be nice!

Have noticed that the finish quality varies somewhat with the half dozen Frontier Valks I already have.. Fingers crossed I get a good one!

hehe! call me weird but I still think Brera's VF-27 (DX renewal version) is the best of the Frontier Valks.. the 25's (Ozma) a close second! Not sure about the 29's though.. maybe an Isamu Dyson might happen.. pass on the 171's.. just not a fan.

Also just bought for one from cdJpapan! I was going to wait and take my chances with hlj or amiami but I also had some points I could redeem on cdj which helped cut down the cost of shipping!! Sweeeeet!!!

Sensational looking machine isn't she! The white color really works on it and sets it apart from the others. Its gotta be my fav of the VF-19 bunch! I just don't display it with those little speaker winglet things.. -
Box art looks ok.. follows the style of the other VF-25 range.. but.. box not important, only Valkyrie important! Yeah given up looking for an available pre-order.. (at a decent price anyways) I'll just take my chances after release..

ok ok fair enough.. I didn't mind the Dinobots so much.. especially Grimlock, which I did have him and a few others for a number of years but ultimately sold it off to my cousin.. but that pretty much it. The rest are junk!

I never meant to upset / insult any TF fans here or start a Macross -v- Transformers argument.. trust me on this my cousin and I have plenty enough of these for me to ever want anymore of em.. I guess what xrentonx wrote here pretty much sums up what I was trying to say.. I do respect TF's for what they are and the massive fan base they have generated, larger than Macross im sure.. its just I never felt that any real effort went in to making how they work have any sense of being believable or "well hey that could actually work" look about them like the Valkyrie's do.

I would certainly hope so too but like the VF-25 range for example having multiple characters piloting the type ie Alto, Ozma, Luca, Michael etc, does the YF-30 have any additional characters to justify additional repaints? I guess cannon fodder colors and alternate prototype paints like the YF-19 Double Nuts & Bird of Prey are more likely or easier to pull off for Bandai if they chose to yes?? To apologize in advance if this has already been covered and.. I haven't played the Macross 30 game at all either so I wouldn't know any further details regarding the or any story line behind Macross 30 or the YF-30..

That looks sensational! I wish the VF-11B Yamato released actually looked like that.. I simply don't possess the skill or patients required for such a re-paint or build..

hehe! yep that's me! They are actually one of my preferred paint scheme VF-1 variants! And I can display one in each configuration! I wish I could afford to do that with more of em.. but that ain't gonna happen.. at least if I want to maintain a healthy relationship with my misses!
