    yeah he's pretty cool and tries his best considering we haven't seen each other in a number of years due to living in different countries but we do stay in constant contact.. We do have a lot in common though Macross not being one of them but it was really nice he thought of doing this! I'll be sure to return the favour for his birthday later in the year!

    came home today to a very nice little surprise! my dad (who lives in the UK) sent me over a late birthday present!! now I have two YF-30's! which is nice I'll admit considering I would have never bought a second one.. im more impressed with the fact he managed to chose something that im interested in! He said there is a anime & collectibles shop in a neighboring town which just stocked the 30 as a brand new release so he figured I wouldn't have it yet and bought one! so yeah no complaints! I put this one in battroid mode up next to the other in fighter.. looks cool but kinda loose and fiddly to handle.. didn't end up using the locking parts. she stands quite well without them. Had to keep the feet un-extended and I prefer the vertical stabilizers in the outward position.. just in case some folks notice the pose errors.. pic below!

    Been considering doing something similar for a while myself actually.. I'd like to pickup another 1/60 VF-19P and do a custom Skull Squadron scheme like MW member Scream Man has done but the cost and the potential for messing up such a beautiful Valk makes me a little hesitant.. But anyways best of luck with your repaint! looking forward to seeing the end result! im sure it will look awesome!

    No regrets regarding past purchases now long sold as to me the current stuff is way better but my only regret is starting up my new (current) collection just a couple of years too late causing me to miss out of stuff at good prices..

    that's a very cool idea! this way you could have 2 guns mounted! one either side! shame I don't have 2x YF-30 to try it tough.. maybe someone with more than one 30 can try it and post up a pic!?

    I paid well over 20,000jpy for my Ozma Armor parts.. Yes they are very cool bits but seriously over priced! It's hard to justify the price for add on parts that cost as much as or more than a complete Valkyrie..

    Ok so it aint Macross related but still worthy of some display attention! I decided to shuffle some things around a bit and put some of my Space Battleship Yamato stuff back on display.. Gotta say im glad I did as they make really great display pieces! Next is to make more room for the Yamato girls..

    was talking about Ikea antics to my brother as he just did some Ikea shopping only recently and he was telling me about (non Ikea related purchase but still just as if not more nuts) a customer of his who flew from Sydney to Perth (4+ hours) just to buy a Toyota Land Cruiser and drive over 4000 kms (2500 miles) back to Sydney.. took his family along and made a cross Australia holiday out of it! I wouldn't..

    im surprised at Yamato that there is a fair amount of scale inconsistency amongst their own line of Valkyrie.. particularly with the 3 Valks that Jenius has pointed out.. The VF-19 is already quite a sizable Valk and to think how much bigger it would be if it was closer,spot on to or even larger than scale! (more obvious in battroid modes anyways as with the 17 & 22) Makes me wonder whether this was more a deliberate move by Yamato this during the design and development stage (on technical grounds) rather than it being unintentional scale inconsistencies?

    Like I said previously I will never again complain about the distance of my nearest Ikea store! LOL! 8 hours is crazy but 18 hours is pure insanity! Why wouldnt they just pay to have it shipped over!? Though I guess it depends on what they were buying but still you'd think they'd call ahead to ensure the store has stock of what ever they are travelling across half the country for before getting on their way?! That is inexcusable stupidity..

    I think im gonna have to give friends and family advanced notice that no one will be getting anything in the line of gifts / presents from me for Xmas or birthdays till after February at the earliest! oh wait isn't the VF-1J GBP bundle come out around then also?

    I'd sooo love an original style Valkyrie pilot helmet for my bike! Here's a (very) rough photoshop attempt at what it would look like! Yep that's me at my last track day a few months back.. no I didn't purchase the photo hence the watermarks.. but anyways how cool would it look eh!?
