    As much as im really liking it now, I must agree about fighter mode, originally it did seem a little on the simple side of things design wise and I wasn't so sure about the more conventional looking nose and the much larger rounded canopy. The 30 definitely isn't as sleek and fast looking as a 25, 29 or 27 for that matter! But its still good in terms of a new design direction and has many positive visual elements of its own. For example the delta wing layout and the matte finish is very nice just to name a few.. For me it was more the other way around.. I thought the pre-release pictures of the 30 did it more justice then the impression it gave me when I got my first hands on. I guess I had too high expectations and truly felt disappointed when I finally got it. But the more I looked at it on display and when I got my second 30 from my father and put it in Battroid is when I started to really appreciate it and felt I finally started to understand the design. Now I couldn't imagine not having them in my collection AND yes I think I will get a 3rd so I can have them all displayed each in a different mode! Im excited for the future of Valkyrie design and look forward to firstly alternate 30 variants & repaints depending which we get blessed with and secondly beyond the 30 with the next generation of Valkyrie!

    I know eh! Although I wasn't so impressed with the 30 initially but its grown on me to become a very cool Valkyrie indeed!

    Haha! Yeah I think I will get a 3rd one! Just gotta find the cash first.. I wouldn't use the brackets either.. they look ugly and make the Valk look like it wasn't properly engineered to support itself in either mode..

    ahhh ok.. I thought that maybe there was still too much weight at either end with the add on parts for it to sit up on its own ok. I'd be worried about that "one nudge" as my standing armored Ozma moves around a little as it is when I open and close my display cabinet. Still it looks great in Gerwalk but think I'll keep mine in Battroid with the standing support I made for it..

    Great photo mate! The 30 looks great in Gerwalk! might have to find a 3rd one so I can display one in each mode! I love how the wings crop up like that! like its ready to strike at its next unsuspecting prey!

    Now that you mention it that air brake does look a little on the poxy cheap side.. Without making this sound like a silly idea but I wonder how hard it would be to use a dremel and carefully drill those holes through.. If I could afford to buy multiples I probably would attempt this!

    I have seen them on there in the past but always seemed to have had something else on my purchase / wish list at the time and missed out.. will definitely keep a closer eye out for one. Yes indeed it is! Im super jelly That is one sweet kit!!

    They are very cool! Love the matt black one! If I still had a dirt bike I would happily use one of these but not for street or track riding on a sports bike..

    As much as I love the VF-1 in Gerwalk, I only have 3 in that mode currently.. as MacrossJunkie said its the least efficient of the 3 modes when it comes to occupying display space. My current display setup has 15 in Battroid, 22 in Fighter & 3 in Gerwalk.

    hmmm yes would be nice but I doubt that's ever gonna happen.. I would say that after the Isamu 19 was released that it finished off the line. I can't see them putting in any more cash / effort on another variant or upgrade.. maybe just a repaint.

    As long as I can remember I too have been fascinated with the six wheeler! Its a shame that after the rules changed to allow cars to have only 4 wheels that no other strange or quirky designs appeared in F1.. apart from Gordon Murrays Brabham fan car. Which is also awesome! Hehe! Yeah it does look like something out of a cheesy 70's or 80's futuristic sci-fi racing movie eh! What makes the car even cooler is that it even proved to be a fairly successful concept and actually won a race finishing 1st and 2nd at the Swedish GP in 76!

    ok so again it ain't Macross related but im just too excited and had to share this with all my friends in here! I just found me one of the Holy Grail's of Formula One model car collecting! A True Scale Miniatures 1:18 scale Tyrrell P34 Silverstone Trophy Race car! These things are rare as F@#% and next to impossible to find one for sale! I have been looking around for ages and by sheer chance found this one by accident! She is MINT! Brand new never used or displayed! Due to the hefty cost of this model car, it will replace my other Tyrrell P34 cars I have which I already have a buyer lined up! Here are some photos of what it is I bought for all you folks out there who aren't quite up to speed on F1 car models.. for others who are in the know you can enjoy the pics! The pics below do not belong to me. I will collect my car next week.
