This would have to be 1:60 scale eh.. well just going by its size compared to the stand it looks very close to other Bandai DX Valks. Although im perfectly happy with my Arcadia Isamu 19, it will be very interesting to see how the Bandai version stacks up against it! To be perfectly honest im a little surprised that they chose this Valk in particular to reproduce? Unless they thought they could do it better than Arcadia had!? Personally I think a re-imagined VF-1 with slightly altered dimensions to make it look more sleak would have been a better option or simply work on other YF/VF-30 variants/parts? Heck there are plenty of other in between Valks they could have had a shot at too! VF-5000, VF-9 just to mention a few.. im sure others would feel the same way? This 19 is just not something that I would want to buy multiple brand versions of.. well depending on pricing of course!

maybe the color of the final production version will be as close as we can hope for.. but yeah I still don't mind the color as of now!

hehe! have to agree there! though im still not so sure about Melda.. the more I look at her the more she is starting to appeal to me but im kinda screwed for space atm.. need more display cabinets! I did pre-order the Mori Yuki (flight suit version) but the expression on her face does not look good so I cancelled.. I might try pickup another color variation of Akira instead! the one in the white suit with long hair! very sexy lookin! Captain Okita is cool to have.. goes well with the ship.

Ohhh!! Sounds interesting! Cant wait to see! I still only have Mori Yuki, Akira Yamamoto (my fav!), Harada Makoto & Nimi Kaoru.. and the Captain but he doesn't count cos he just ain't sexy.. thought I'd include a pic.. hung up the Yamato with fishing line so I could get rid of that awful base it comes with.. looks so much better on display without it!

well that particular figure was the only she got me.. the rest I bought myself! 2 more figures!? I thought you had the whole set already!? unless you're talking about the alternate color versions..? which ones are coming?

I was on the same idea when I re-started my Macross collecting but then my misses got me a small Minmay figure and its just snowballed from there! I have about a dozen Macross girls (Minmay, Mylene, Ranka & Sheryl) at the moment, 4 of the Yamato girls and a Kurisu Makise figure from Steins Gate. A few of those figures have been upwards of $200 and between them all its been a significant outlay! But they are all stunningly gorgeous things and wouldn't trade em for anything! So yeah bring em on!

Still cool but kinda odd & creepy looking.. They dont really look so much like Ranka & Sheryl but more like models of cosplayers dressed up them like them! Yeah definitely a pass for me..

Around $25 is a good price! I was thinking of picking up a few more flightpose stands but might give one of these a go too! Jan 2015 release date.. too close to Xmas though!
