Yep same here! There is absolutely no friggin way im gonna cave and cancel my pre-orders.. I want these things too badly! Heck if I do encounter an issue then that Valk will stay in fighter mode and I'll battroid another! I guess buying 3 of them will give me that insurance policy I can claim on if need be! hehe! In all fairness though, I haven't had any real ankle problems with any of my VF-19 Valks.. But then again I don't really mess about with my Valks much if at all! Unlike many other people do! Most of my Valks, in particular the VF-19 lot have only ever seen one transformation to which ever mode they are currently displayed in and then left alone on display. So I guess that's why none of their ankles are either loose or completely shagged.. I'll admit I'd much prefer if they did fix the ankle joints in order to eliminate any chance of the problem arising altogether but I only feel this way firstly due to the fact the same joint will feature on the new Zero-D and the horror stories I've heard about shonky ankles on 19's.. but who knows maybe it won't be as bad as people expect! again that's a little wishful thinking right there!

I had a few minor issues with a handful of v2 VF-1 Valks so I just swapped out the canopies of ones I wanted to keep in fighter and gerwalk to the the ones in battroid. Doesn't solve the problem but sure as hell don't see the crappy canopies! But in saying that the bad canopies I have are nothing like whats posted in that link! The defects on my canopies are very minor but only noticeable when closely inspected. I changed them around simply cos im anal.. -
Thought I'd ask you guys your opinion about something.. I moved a few things around in my Macross displays one of which was switching Alto's 25 from Battroid to Gerwalk. Being a bit limited for space I had to deploy the wings vertically as there just isn't enough room in the cabinet to have them positioned horizontally.. Im kinda 50:50 about it.. in one way I like it as it kinda makes it look more aggressive and in another way im not so sure as I don't think they ever had their wings in this configuration in the anime.. Do you guys think it looks silly or ok? Had to tighten both shoulder joints as they were a little loose and floppy, the right arm wasn't able to hold up the weight of the gun.. Its a little disappointing considering this Valk was brand new in a sealed box and only ever transformed once to battroid with very minimal handling.

I've seen your panel lined Valks first hand and they look great! Im sure there are folks out there who want to panel line their valks but too afraid to in fear of stuffing it up and would happily buy your ones!

I have to say im on the complete opposite end of the "excitement" scale with the Bandai 19.. Sure I'll get one but seeing that I don't own any Zero's, the Zero-D release has my knickers in a right twist with anticipation!

of this type, size & weight.. not much I'd say.. fixed or limited movement may be the way to go with one of these things unless they come up with some fancy new joint design that won't go stupid or floppy over time. Less articulation would mean less development costs which in turn could result in a lower RRP for us! Either way I wouldn't mind as long as its pose was set correctly to begin with..

And the patchy style armor parts kinda make it look like an ancient Japanese warrior! Which im sure was the intention behind it being Japanese afterall..

I always thought the 25 super parts fitted to a 19 kinda looked a little weird / silly but... this im really liking! it must be the color scheme that's doing it..
