  1. OK!! so.. my M&M's and Super Ostrich finally arrived today! And they have all exceeded my expectations! They are all mint & sealed in their original boxes never touched by a human hand (after leaving the factory of course..) The Super Ostrich was a little bit of a worry for me seeing how so many have had cracked and or broken shoulders but this example is perfect! I checked over it and everything is 100%! Its a fantastic feeling to have one again after I so foolishly gave my first SO away and regretted it ever since! And after seeing how expensive & rare they became in the time afterwards I was so angry with myself.. But I have now learnt my lesson and sure as hell won't be making that mistake ever again! And now finally having the Max & Milia's VF-1J pair is like a dream come true for me! I've been after these little buggers for quite some time now and the relief of that weight being lifted of my shoulders is immense! And especially considering the pair I got are pretty much brand spanking new and never been previously opened, handled or displayed! Makes it all the more sweet! I know some of you may think im maybe over reacting a little but the truth is im just racing with emotions right now! Just glancing over at them sitting proudly on display as I type this up I still can't believe they are actually sitting there! I swear the tears are about to break out! Im surprised that its all effecting me this way! Max & Milia are everything I hoped for and more! They are just gorgeous! I think its gonna be a late night tonight! Lots of gazing and admiring! So now my VF-1 collection is finally complete! I don't think there is really anything that im wanting or missing.. Maybe a few more doubles would be nice and the incoming GBP sets will still be welcome as it gives me a few more display options.. Its taken a long while and a lot of money but we're there now!

    Hi-Metal R

hmmm... I did say previously that I'd probably be happy to pick up all of these but seeing that now my 1:60 VF-1 collection is pretty much complete and im quite content with what I have I am probably going to give this line a miss.. Maybe.. just maybe I might pickup the Monster even though its in 1:100 scale its still gonna be a fairly good size but I don't particularly care for a Regult in an out of scale size compared with what I have collected so far. And to be honest I can't see the Hi-Metal R VF-1 lot being any better than the original Hi-Metal series.. Especially not if people are expecting them to be a budget or cheaper line to collect so you can forget about integrated landing gear, hands and what ever else they don't have compared to a 1:60. I'll be extremely surprised if any of those features make it in the final production versions..
  3. That is one fine looking model car Derex! Especially in the yellow! And for a Hotwheels too! I had a few Hotwheels 1:18 scale cars in the past but never thought they were quite up to the build and detail standard as AutoArt for example but this one looks pretty bloody good! I have been eyeballing a few other model cars lately and I might just have to add one of these to the list! And although the yellow does work I think for me it'd have to be red.. errr more like.. thankfully it doesn't! hehe! Very nice pickups Noel!
  4. it did actually! When I first saw it before release I thought.. what the hell is that!? but now I have grown quite attached to it! Im glad its part of my collection and I display it proudly! And if I didn't already have one I'd certainly buy one now!
  5. Still sure that the 27 is my favorite Frontier Valk! No drawn blood for me though.. then again I don't ever handle most of my Valks which automatically reduces the possibility of injury! Nice angle Gakken! Makes good use of the more vertical space in a Detolf eh! Looks awesome!
  6. yikes! a bit of damage done there.. so you actually bent the landing gear bit too! I presume that's why the gear door won't shut now? Its also disappointing that those pegs on the legs get all scratched up too..
  7. Perfect!!! Now to somehow get this over to Saburo for pics!
  8. Hmmm.. I wonder which Valk would go well with Yurisha!?
  9. Ah ok cool, to be honest i cant really remember the weight of my old v1 lot as its been years since i off loaded them but i wouldn't have thought there was that much in it. But yeah i can see how a little weight can make something feel a bit more substantiaL. (Just not in my women!) Id say then the older v1 felt more like a Bandai valk. Yes the v2 are a little light but i rather like how they feel! They are a lot smaller than other Valks afterall.. but still quite solid and a pleasure to handle!
  10. Cool little figures JV!
  11. Minty fresh! But seriously has it ever been out of the box!? J's are the best eh! Hikaru's 1/60 TV VF-1J is currently my all time fav but i think that'll be challenged when Max & Milia's J's turn up!
  12. It looks friggin sweet all kitted up with SS parts eh! I did a quick test fit to see what it was like before I settled with fitting them to my Cavaliers! I ordered two of the GBP-1J sets so I can dress up the TV brownie in GBP parts! Tiz gonna look the bollocks!! =D
  13. I know why.. Cos they're awesome!!! Gotta love the brownies!
  14. what!?!? really $20 or is what you just told your wife to avoid getting into trouble!?
  15. that looks friggin AMAZING!!!
  16. fantastic build up pics! looks sensational so far! well done and keep up the great work!

    Macross figures

Indeed yes the darker ones look better! Ranka's "cute as a button" factor is simply staggering!!
  18. hehe! love the Gulf livery! but not the asking price! Yikes!
  19. @anubis20 well done on finding yourself a 19P! they are the cream of the crop as far as the 19 bunch go in my opinion!
  20. that's one fantastic looking Megatron!!
  21. Yeah that lower section is a pain to keep aligned properly and I reckon the gun looks better with it closed anyways! @Valkyrie Driver.. I found using the clear nail polish a relatively limited solution.. it doesn't seem to be quite hard enough and wears out too quickly. Automotive 2K clear with a proper hardener is much better but not as accessible to many as others. Dries rock hard but u gotta be careful using it.
  22. ok so while we are showing off some cool Alto poses I thought I'd join in! This is the best I can do with Alto. I don't particularly find him very interesting to pose funny enough..
