they look really great! I have Nora's SV-51 and would still like to get the CF and Ivanov but they are pricey and who knows Arcadia my re-issue or renew them.. Knowing my luck I buy them and then they get announced shortly afterwards.. -
Just checked out the Australian website and these light boxes are the very same price! Which is odd as anything here is usually much more expensive like the display cabinets for example.. Might be good to have a few mounted one on top of the other in the corner walls of a room. Might be an idea so I could put some anime figures back on display. Hiding the wiring might be an minor issue.

considering the issues with the CF version, has there been any similar problems with Luca's RVF-171? Im still considering picking one up but not sure..

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time II: The Quickening
spanner replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
well it just proves that even with a crappy or non existent story line all one has to do is throw in a gorgeous woman into the mix and everything becomes alright! I'll admit this movie wasn't fantastic but I only saw it for Mila Kunis! And im certainly glad I did so!- 854 replies

yes it would be nice to finally see a YF/VF 24 Valkyrie if it does feature in Macross Delta! Can't see it happening though as I'd say they would probably want to introduce something new entirely and or expand on the current line of Valks already out. And this thread is so awesome! so much interesting stuff to read!

hehe! just don't let them hear you talking about them or they'll break on you! that is a very good question but yeah some of the guys here with more experience will be able to answer that for you! Personally I don't play around with my Valk's enough or been back in the game long enough to know.

cool idea but yeah you'd be pushing it to fit a Valkyrie inside.. Maybe a VF-1 in gerwalk!
-
Essentially they are.. They are based on the F-16 and built in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. A joint venture between Lockheed Martin and MHI. Yeah they have some really jazzy paint jobs on some of their jets!

it may have been but I can't see why Bandai would choose do that as any other factory would have to tool up with new molds etc which only would have cost Bandai more money than an already established factory. Unless the different factory was able to access the existing molds. Who knows.. Well anyways I was just comparing my CF to my son's Alto and apart from the color scheme and other minor detail differences, they appear to be pretty much identical. Maybe in an effort to reduce costs a cheaper material was used in the castings for the CF which was more brittle and prone to breakage perhaps? These are only guesses of course..

After Luca's 171 i'd say the CF is the next nicest variant! Im still umming and ahhing buying the RVF.. I might have a bit of spare cash left over our electricity bill which might have to be spent on one! maybe.. My son's Alto 171 is still a bit of a mess.. its literally crumbling away the more he touches it! We did replace the shoulder triangles on it too if you recall mickyg!

They look quite menacing! What brand are they and if you don't mind me asking how much were they? My son is still interested in getting a Godzilla figure of some sorts.. -
so the CF must have just been a bad batch which they rectified for the other variants yes? My CF seems to be holding itself together well.. I put if back to fighter so I think that will be the last time I touch it!
