that's a good rare find! even for that money its a bargain considering who it is and the physical size of the 1/48's!! Congrats, Very nice! -
ewww.. weddings.. I couldn't think of anything worse to attend!
-
well it was only a silly suggestion but who knows maybe this aircraft did indeed have some important military significance!? Doubt it though..

hehe! The F/A-18 (Super Hornet anyways) still has some development potential and improvements to further reduce its RCS but not to the extent that this thing looks to be..This thing looks more like a mock up / hack job for some crappy sci-fi movie / tv series or what have you.. then wrapped up to preserve it for future takes. There is no way they would invest the amount of money to re-design the Hornet to this extent for only marginal returns in improvements. It definitely looks to have been partially dismantled. It may have even been for static testing or a minor damaged plane which still has a good main air frame they are keeping as a spare?? who knows..

wow that looks excellent! Their poses look extreme enough! Nice job Saburo!

that's a cool little group shot!

Some have reported them doing so but I haven't had that issue myself.. The most I have had is a slight tacky stick but left no mark or damage. I think its a case of them just stuffing that up with the Zero-D.. and they corrected it for the Zero-A and moving forward. Its my biggest irritation with the Zero-D.

Hey thanks mate! Yeah the flight pose stands are good. They dont have the flexibility of the Yeti which can achieve far more radical poses but they are still good. As sreichma said you can mix up the arm lengths which is handy too! Some people have had issues with the tips of the arms sticking to the valks and in some cases paint coming off but i personally haven't had an issue. It might come down to climate conditions..

Saw part 1 today with my son and it wasn't too bad! Effects were ok and the acting fairly convincing. Probably could have done with a bit bigger budget but I think they did quite well with it! https://youtu.be/yWXJ-jqg3is

the Typhoon looks crazy good in the classic colors!

thought I'd have a go at a transformation to Battroid and see if it loosens it up a bit so it locks together in fighter mode any better.. Left leg was stupid difficult to get to spread apart and the ball joint had some plastic fragments falling out of it. Its also considerably looser than the right leg hip joint. No indication that its about to fall out and I put a little bit of pressure on it just to test it and it seems to be in there firmly enough.. everything else seems fine! looks so tough in Battroid too! Not sure I really want to switch it back to fighter now!

there are some quite interesting mecha in there so far! looking forward to your top 10!

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im going to have another go at finding a more interesting pose for my Brera over the weekend.. it just looks too boring just standing there holding its HUGE gun.. I can't even pose him holding it vertically as the gun pod is sooo long its taller than the actually shelf height! It will be interesting to see what you come up with on your 27 photos!

That I'd end up buying the whole lot! AGAIN! the only one who stands to win in that possible situation is my son who will end up with the maddest collection of "old version" Valks!

would it be so silly to assume that maybe Macross Delta would be center around the YF-30 seeing that its essentially a Delta configuration? not that I'd mind that at all but we've now had the 30 around for a while so its not exactly brand spanking new anymore.. It will be interesting to see if they have come up with some Valkyrie design for the series but then the 30 would be kinda pushed to the side lines without having the screen time it deserves.. or maybe im just talking crap..
-
I ain't replacing my entire Frontier Valkyrie collection with a new (version 3) model!!! oh wait.. I feel as if I've said this before somehow.. hehe! but seriously im not doing it..

Thanks! You should get one its a lovely thing! The laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 3 14".. its a ripping little machine! especially after I binned Win8.1 for Win10! I didn't notice those little details till after I took the photos.. nice little touches they make! Probably isn't enough of it.. Hey thanks mate! Im kicking myself I didn't keep the order for the 2nd one and as much as I want to buy another im kinda reluctant as the dollar is so weak and I'll end up paying a bit more than I should and would have initially.. Personally I don't think you would really be at such a high risk of receiving a defective item and not everyone has had the hip issues so it might just be a manufacturing tolerance / QC issue for a certain batch of parts.. I went and re-checked two of my Zero-D which are partially and fully transformed and the hips seem secure thankfully. They would definitely be aware of the issue but its probably that so many parts have already been cast / manufactured for the production process then its not going to be cost effective for them to have them rectified for a low volume product such as this.. One could say it is a bad way to do business but I'd say they just aren't willing to re-position themselves in such a way to potentially eliminate the small profit they would be making. Yes it bugs me to no end too but I know I wouldn't want to do that either. Yes they have become costly but so has most else in life.. Sadly due to the ever rising costs of existence even our beloved Macross hobby was inevitably going to follow suit. As explained in a different thread. I found the same issue with the head laser on my example and yes it appears to be the base itself and not the laser being bent.. Its not too bad so im just going to leave it alone. I am going to do a full transformation to battroid and back to see if that helps relax things to a point and see if the back pack aligns a little better for fighter mode.. All 3 of my Zero-D have a similar issue and I kept the one with the least of the issue in fighter mode but the Zero-A seemed to be a little more noticeable. Hey thanks! She is a lovely color indeed! They do look great together but that bloody SV-51 is sooo huge she takes up most of the shelf and they are a little cramped in there! And the SV-51 is floppy and gappy compared to the svelte and tight Zero! hehe! It would be nice to swap over the fore arms too and fix the Zero-D's gunpod alignment issue so the arrestor hook actually works... Wow there is a big difference in the size of the pilot figures eh! im thinking the original looks to be a more accurate size perhaps? The new Zero-A pilot flops and jumps around the cockpit a far bit..
-
Gahhh! just could not get away from work quick enough.. sheesh.. And now finally home and finally get to see my Zero-A! She's a beauty! Soooo much easier and more pleasant to handle than the Zero-D without fear of bumping the fiddly winglets, forward canards and vertical stabilizers! Im really liking the color too! and the cockpit blast shield is a slightly blue-ish gray but it looks fine. I don't mind the black lights on the leading edge of the wings either. And FINALLY a properly functional arrestor hook whilst gun pod is attached! Man that issue reeeaaalllyyy bugs me about the Zero-D.. Pilot figure and cockpit details are nice and I really like the blue painted sections on the back of the legs! They make nice highlights! The triangle leg knee joint filler parts are a nice touch too! Really cleans up the side profile a lot! The Zero-D really needs these too and a shame it wasn't included.. Regardless if its anime accurate or not.. The missiles it comes with are nice too! But im going to leave it in a clean configuration.. A few little gripes.. why they didn't tampo the UN SPACY markings on the legs but did so on the gun pod? I can't seem to get the upper leg sections to sit up close enough to the forward main fuselage and that area wants to creek and groan a little when handled. I also cant the the rear tail plane back pack part to sit perfectly flush with the rear upper fuselage but it doesn't stick up too much so im not so fussed. Overall it looks and feels great! Nothing seems loose or about to fall off I think im definitely going to order a 2nd one! Some photos below! Sorry about the poor quality.. Only camera I have is my Note 4.. and it kinda sucks at best.

That's encouraging to hear! Definitely want to give this movie a chance! I'll admit some of the previews did look kinda alright.. Thanks for that!

Hehe! I think I will! I have a really good feeling about the Zero-A before I have even laid eyes on it! Touch wood I haven't had any real issues with the clear tipped Flightpose stands but I try to keep better control of interior climate of my place which I think helps a great deal!

The facial details on those figures is so impressive! I'd happily have that Joker figure! But simply cannot start another line of collectibles.. -
