Thanks for the vid Yeti! so how would you compare the parts you printed yourself to the parts from Shapeways? I still have the parts you sent me which im going to attempt a replacement very soon.. Just want you view on it first.

there you go! that's an idea.. Although someone did mention straight after that it didn't work so well so im guessing that it might work better on a badly peeling canopy which has loosened off a fair bit than one which is only starting to crack off.. still washing up detergent is pretty mild so no danger trying it.

Nice! I'll bet it was cheap being incomplete!? not that they are hugely expensive to begin with anyways.. and I was going to say what about the dust problem not having the door but these things are pretty useless in that respect even with the door.. -

gotta come up with something that's for sure.. I think 2 to 3 is a good number.. 3 prefferably so they can be displayed in each mode of course.. but! due to their size where the hell are they gonna fit on display!?!?

that's gonna be a big bird to swoosh around! im sure it'll have some weight to it and then you'll end up looking like that guy with the one strong arm from that movie "Lady in the water" hehehe!

yeah sorry had a momentary brain freeze on that one.. for some stupid and completely unknown reason I had in my mind the VB-6 only having two modes!?!?!? with these guys who knows.. anything is possible! It sure as hell wasn't something I thought about..

so I figure you'll need 7! 3x one for each mode "clean" 3x one for each mode "supered" 1x for GBP Now that's one heck of an expensive dream for sure!

if they did supply the super parts yes it would be cool but.. personally I think I'd rather display this thing in a clean configuration! Its is going to look super stunning in fighter! Might have to buy three of em one for each mode! Oh my god im going to be broke!

that looks insane!!! finally a good picture of it! Definitely impressed and definitely an insta-buy! the proportions still a little funny in spots but look very good from this angle. I have no issues with how this looks at all! This is a MUST have! Thanks for posting up the pic Saburo!

yeah'd of thought Schwalbe would have been a better name especially considering they are using the 262 model number.. but on a visual point of view it looks nothing like a 262.. Myself I would have rather seen a closer homage to the original SAAB 35 Draken name for example Sv-135 Draken III or something like that don't you think? the 262 number simply doesn't fit.. and I don't think it was so random either. I think they just chose poorly. I'd hate to think so but yeah you could be right.. especially with the whole single engine theme.

excellent comparo shots Yeti! You can easily see many of the key features are there from the 30 and some new elements such as the nose in particular which doesn't fold away behind the body but below the chest area instead which I rather like! I also prefer the larger forward canards and smaller shoulder pads over the 30 design. Just looks more right if you know what I mean.. Also looks to be a cover piece in front of the crotch area perhaps?. I never particularly cared for that area on the 30. And it looks like they have reverted back to the more traditional gerwalk mode without the double jointed hip as with the 30.. again something I never really cared for and don't display my 30 with. Clearly the 31 is a evolutionary design of the 30 with some solid attempts at improvements. Im very much looking forward to getting my hands on these babies! I am going to buy so many of these things!! hehe!

yeah I read somewhere once that who ever it was simply just scratched away at it (which was similar to this just not as bad) and the rest of it came off fairly easily.. Personally I have never tried it nor would I ever attempt it. I have one VF-1 rainbow canopy which shows the slightest signs of cracks beginning but its not very noticeable. Thankfully!

yuck.. that's one of the more worse examples I've seen in a while. I wonder what causes the coating to come off? Sunlight? Poor prepping before application? You could probably just scratch it all off with your pinky finger nail now that its at such an advance state of decay..

hehe! yeah its kinda hard to say isn't it.. could just be a very feminine looking guy with long colored hair!? or is genderless like in Knights of Sidonia that then selects a gender depending on its choice of partner perhaps? -

haha! I was just going to mention that myself! This might turn out to be a Valkyrie with a "Bigfoot" complex! Didn't Kawamori mention that one of the new variable fighters will have a unique transformation? To be honest I wouldn't want to see it look or transform anything like the VB-6.. and in this earlier pic below it does show that there will be 3x transformation modes..? I don't mind the paint job so much, it does give the thing a more sinister look about it. What I don't really like is the colored over cockpit canopy.. much like on the VF-27's which I switched over to the clear canopies. If this is the case then I hope they include a clear option part.

up close the detailing looks pretty good! Loving the rivets! The Hip / leg joints do look rather complicated yes.. I wonder if each leg swings down independently of each other and how much up sized Hi-Metal tech they might use on this? Does indeed look like they are using swing bars. Hope we get to see more of it soon!

Arcadia will need to come up with something.. well they have the Zero-S, RA & CF-0 but then that's it.. and those are spaced out pretty far and we won't see that lot of stuff completed till mid next year.. Then what Arcadia? You guys better get your game on!
