Just got an email from NY saying the scheduled release date for the Monster has been brought forward a couple of days.. yeah its not much but anything sooner is better than later! Im absolutely busting to get this thing!

ditto! Hey Jason, I'll see how my finances go and if I can stretch it I will buy one of the completed/painted kits that Kicker wants to cancel.. I cant jump on it right at this very moment as im a little broke after my Euro trip but once you have the kits closer to finished I should be good to go! So yeah let me know what you think. Not exactly toys nor Macross related but still thought they worth a mention.. I brought a nice little assortment of books back from some of the aviation museums I visited in the UK & Europe.. The F-16 & F-4 books have lots of impressive close up shots and the larger of the two Spitfire books is fantastic! has lots of amazing photos! -
So im finally back home from the UK and first order of business was to get my Arcadia VF-4G transformed and on display! The transformation was not as overly complicated as I was expecting and I have to admit it does look pretty good in battroid.. Also put my 2nd VF-27b on display as a cf variant.. And my MPP10 Prime is looking very smart with his Autobot symbol in place!

I did have a small collection of laser disc movies but never the player itself.. if i ever wanted to watch one of the movies id just go over to my cousins place and use his. I only ever bought the discs cos i also had a good collection of vinyl records and i liked that the size and sleeve art was pretty good. All of which i sold off to my cousin..

Then i guess everyones holy grail is based on their invidual interpretation of what would be a prized possession or accomplished purchase. Personally i dont consider items that dont currently exist in the scope of my collection (1:60 lines) for example the 17T or MAXL. The 1:3000 is definitely something special but not an item of focus. The Yamato 1:60 Regult on the other hand is something that is burning in the back if my mind. What takes the edge off it is its enormous and simply put unjustifiable asking price they demand.. and the fact its only available as a build kit is another put off.. If Yamato released it completed then yeah definitely holly grail stuff!

Holy Grail? For me personally, no. The holy grail i have always thought to be are the Yamato Max & Milia VF-1J pair. Yes my original Yamato VF-4G wasn't exactly cheap to buy, but my M&M's cost me an absolute fortune and took me a fair chunk more time to find! And are still much harder to find than a Yamato VF-4G and especially the Arcadia examples seeing how cheap i got mine. Even though rarity & high cost shouldn't necessarily give just anything "grail" status, look at the VF-11C for example, relatively hard to come by and can be pricey for what they are but, the M&M's do indeed have that special rarity about them thus make them extremely expensive and "grail" worthy!
