hehe! it wasn't going to stay there as I only placed it on that shelf as there was space available and good lighting but I think it looks good with the M&M's! Love the Russian star! The former USSR & current Russian planes are my favorite of most fighter jets! The Sukhoi birds in particular! Thanks! It will definitely stay in fighter mode for a while! I don't want to damage that beautiful satin glass finish!

Im going to wait till end of day Monday and if still no shipping notice then I will email them again. I know I'll just end up pissing them off with so many emails but this is just not acceptable. I have always been a prompt paying customer, often paying for my pre-orders in full long before release and have purchased a considerable amount of stuff from them (nearly 900,000 yen give or take which is just over $10,000 aud) through so many Macross Valkyries, almost all of my space battleship 2199 stuff and countless other assorted figures & vehicles so im definitely not just a new one off customer. And on a few occasions when they have asked for more money for shipping I have paid without question. So yeah I have been quite loyal with them. So I guess that gives me the right to send them an email asking why my item hasn't shipped out yet.. When going through my account history I was looking at previous items and the time difference between order preparation and shipping notice, it has never been this bad with many items being posted on the same or next day..

I used this from the character art appreciation thread but mirrored it as I noticed the VF-31 gunpod was on the wrong side. I think it looks just as good this way! or at least the Valkyrie is the correct ways round!

Thanks Lolicon! but I will be leaving it in fighter mode at least for now. The problem with painting these build kits is the tolerances become so much tighter than they already are and paint scratching and chipping occures extremely easily. Although I would love to see how it looks in its other modes but at this stage im just too scared to transform and damage it.. I though I'd also mention that the number 76 relates to my birth year.. It was going to be the same red on white as the real plane but it was too difficult to recreate the sticker to match so we just did the number in black which still looks good. And some Russian fighters do actually have the black numbers so it still is kinda correct to the real thing.

my Russian Air Force Valkyrie! I had MWF member Lancelot custom build my VF-1S assembly kit in Russian Air Force colors similar to that of a Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker. We discussed possible paint schemes including existing VF-1 colors from the art books but nothing particularly jumped out at me. Then when I looked at a series of Su-27, 30, 33 & 35 photos I have scrolling on my desktop wallpaper it just hit me! We should do a Russian Air Force color scheme! Thus the idea was born! As far as I can tell no one else has ever done a VF-1 specifically like this so im proud to show of the end results! Somethings are a little different but overall its pretty much as close as it needs to be. Also you may notice the forward intake fan pieces were intentionally left off and the area behind painted black to give the impression of darker air intake path which I think worked out quite well! I absolutely dislike those awful fans! Personally I think it looks absolutely amazing and is a testament to the guys model building talents! I simply couldn't be happier! Thanks so much again buddy! Here are some photos for you to enjoy! I also included a photo of a Su-35 in the color scheme we based it off as a direct reference.. Let me know what you guys think!

hehe! thanks for that Jenius! im now that little bit more worried that there are deeper issues at play here! Though all of my items I have pre-paid for were done through paypal so if they did happen to belly up I guess I can most likely get my money back perhaps? I was going to send them another email today but got caught up doing other stuff and forgot so I'll send one after the weekend. Give them a couple more days..
-
well doesn't this totally suck balls.. I see others who have already received and enjoying their RA part sets and still NY are yet to ship mine.
-
Yep same here.. emailed them and their response is that order preparation takes 3 to 4 days and for me to please be patient. So that means today is day 4 so if they don't ship by this afternoon then I'll start the next round of emails. Im also thinking after what I have in the pipeline with them (some are paid in full) I will abandon NY.

that's a real shame.. its only a small part so maybe you could make something up or have one 3d printed? Where did you buy it from? -
well this afternoon I sent them an email asking when will my item ship and what the delay is..
-
and once again days after receiving notification of order preparation, NY still has yet to ship out the item. If I don't get an shipping notification by end of day today then I will start the rounds of emails to them. Im getting the sh!ts with this crap.. And if this becomes the norm for NY then I will be cancelling what ever I have on order with them an not continue using them regardless of availability of items. Its just pathetic.

a Cheyenne would be cool but there are plenty of other things they could do within their available licensing.. I would probably consider buying a Cheyenne even though im generally giving all the non transforming mecha a miss but I thought a 1/60 Spartan would have been more desirable. I think the general Macross fandom would much prefer a renewal SV-51 other most anything else. Or at least that's how I see it.

got order preparation notice from NY today.. fingers crossed it gets shipping out soon and not in 2 or 3 weeks time.

I really like that blue but your white car does look the bomb! Before I bought the SS I did even have a look at the Subaru Levorg which was a great car and I did like it a lot but the only thing that turned me off was no manual transmission option which is a great shame as it has near WRX levels of performance! A friend of mine has a BMW 135i with the turbo six cylinder engine and some M sport bits n pieces and that this is a right gem! The only thing im not so keen about it is its an automatic.. but its her daily driver and she is often stuck in peak hour traffic so an auto is easier for her. But even so its still a rocket crap! I'd even say its almost as quick as my SS! oh and the SS I was referring to was a 4 door! as in the 2013+ Chevy SS sedan! Basically my Commodore but stateside! Regarding my SS.. I will be looking in to doing some simply modifications possibly later this year including a full exhaust system to free the engine up a bit and make some better noise. And also a set of better wider wheel and tires. I would like to retain the 19inch wheel size but go for something much lighter weight. I think going bigger to 20 or 21 is completely unnecessary and I don't like how the bigger rims make the the brakes looks smaller.. I don't want to go too crazy with the car in terms of mods as I would like to keep it close to stock as im not big on doing mods anyways.. But the exhaust I think is a must do. The rest of the car looks fine I think. I optioned it with the Walkinshaw 30mm (1 & 1/4 inch) lowered springs which definitely gives it a much better stance as they sit way too high stock. I didn't mind doing that as its a factory option and not aftermarket and they also replace some key suspension bushings in the process as part of the suspension re-tune. Though I think the shocks could be a bit better.

19 inches tall! was the stack of cash needed to buy it also 19 inches call? that thing is massive! was it expensive? -
Your Subaru looks lovely in white! Its such an elegant color and really brings out the lines of most cars! Yes there are many other nice colors but they often don't suit all cars but white is one that most often does! Its a real shout out and hey look at me color! I've had quite a few guys approach me about my car and compliment it. There aren't many white Commodore SS driving around where I live. There is only one and its a series 1 model that I do see fairly regularly but that's it. All the others are diffent colors. Though the series 1 aren't as nice as they updated the look of the car for the series 2. The BMW 3 series touring I was considering was white too and I had asked about having the roof blacked out though the wheels and other trim pieces were not. Love the photos you took! And those exhaust tips look great! I would like to get a better set of exhaust tips for my SS but Holden deleted the option.. the standard ones aren't bad but they are a bit plain.. Shame that guy lost his G8 to the flooding.. a very silly thing to allow to happen if he could've avoided it. And especially considering it was the GXP model which are even better! Almost like a HSV equivalent. Those earlier Pontiac G8 were built from the VE Commodore range and yes the G8's had a better suspension tune to the Commodore SS they were based from. And I much preferred the styling of the Pontiac over the Commodore which looked far to conservative. The VE model line up just didn't have any flair or excitememt to it and although they quite decent cars, Holden seriously upgraded the Commodore for the VF model range and boy was it a huge improvement! The VF goes, stops, corners and looks so much better and they even introduced lightweight aluminum panels and other weight reduction measures which dropped about 100kgs from the previous model. The thing that sucked was the local VF Commodore model were stuck with the 6.0 liter engine where the Chev SS got the 6.2 LS3 from the get go. And the LS3 is miles batter than the old 6L.. That was the main factor why I waited and chose to buy the series 2 which Holden upgraded again with even more improvements and dropped in the LS3! Its a great engine and has loads of power and torque! Yes you should go take one for a test drive and see the difference from the old G8 to the current SS! hey you might even be tempted in trading up for a SS! LOL!

Thanks vlenhoff! this is my 4th white car that I've owned, though one car was a two tone white metallic grey combination but yes it hides the dirt well especially from a distance but up close you do see how dirty the car really is! And yes it also shows more of the cars details & curves than the darker colors. The other color options I considered were black and the blue but I liked how the white looked with the blacked out roof and black wheels. Looked a lot tougher than the other colors and the contrast worked better. It sure is a pain to clean the car only the the weather to do a 180 flip on you and make it a mess again.. I did get some good polish stuff that you apply after cleaning which helps repel the dirt so it is easily washed off with water. I will definitely be trying it out next time.
