Hi everyone, I'm in need of a Super/Strike parts set, and wondering if the VF KO sets are DYRL colored and fit on legit 1/60 v2 Yamatos? Thanks in advance!

Any good Nousjadeul-Ger (DYRL Ver.) 3D Models?
judgedoug replied to NoctisTalem's topic in Fan Works
I'm printing one at 1/100 right now as a test - I think with the right resin it should be easy enough for some reposing. If it fits well I'll try a 1/60 print though it'll be a LOT of resin - might have to do a 1/60 on a corexy filament printer... They also have a movie Q-Rau, which I also nabbed, and a TV SDFM Nousjadeul-Ger (though it has quite a few liberties taken with the design, which I'm not that big of a fan of). Plus quite a few other designs such as the Regult Scout -
Aren't we being too pedantic about "official toys"?

Understood - the reason I necro'd this thread was because I already had a base understanding of this (kitzconcept Macross stuff , and of course things like Moshow Mospeada, not belonging in Toys, etc), but browsing the official-BigWest-license-only Toys subforum had threads about third party stands and yetistands and ikea display cabinets. This particular thread had ended on Shawn's "let me think about it for a bit" so it left me wondering if anything in the past year or two had lessened the requirement enough. -

Oh, I understand the desire to keep the Ichijo separate from the Hunter, but for things like Kitzconcept's upcoming Destroids for example, there's no difference between a Robotech:Macross Tomahawk and a SDFMacross Tomahawk other than the logo on the box. So as you've stated we're talking specifically that "Toys" subforum is limited to only Big West Japanese toys? -

Sorry to necro the thread, but I was also wondering why Kitzconcept wasn't in the Toys subforum, especially since like Kidslogic they have some sort of dual-license of Robotech and Macross? (maybe that's incorrect, as it's just my assumption based on the usage of the Macross logo as well as Robotech). The threezero stuff appears to be the specific anomaly of being only Robotech? -

Funnily enough I was looking for the same thing this past weekend, and discovered this: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/nousjadeul-ger-battle-suit-film-version-zr-02-1-100 I bought it with the hopes to print one at 1/60 scale to display with my Yamato valkyries and then several at 1/285 for miniatures gaming. The great thing is that the files include all of the parts for larger scales, or a single assembled version if you're scaling it down and want to print it as one piece. -
Macross DYRL in 4K UHD with English Subtitles
judgedoug replied to GGemini's topic in Movies and TV Series
Finally got a chance to watch the 4k bluray. The last time I saw DYRL was on a VHS, fansubbed (that I got from someone on usenet in the mid 90's, still have it in a storage bin in my attic), so I was expecting an improvement. Oh my goodness, it did not disappoint. That was beautiful. Stunning. Gorgeous. It felt like I was looking at the original cels. I had a screening party with some friends, one who loves Robotech and one who has had no exposure to anything Macross other than seeing my toys in the display case when he comes over to play miniatures games. They both loved it and we spent a solid hour or more talking about various aspects of it. And boy do I miss high quality hand drawn animation in general. It really made me want to seek out other remasters of anime from the 80's and 90's. I am very, very happy that I preordered this from cdjapan and I am very, very happy to finally have high quality subtitled physical media of this excellent film. -

It's strange, the Quel-Gulnau is the Robotech canon name for the little salvage ship with arms that snags the Cat's Eye Recon in SDF Macross. The Gnerl is still the Gnerl.- 2451 replies

Methinks it's for army building - so there's some minor difference between the soldiers. I'm not really going to use the Dolza or Breetai heads on my guys, but will instead keep the helmeted head on and use them merely as armored infantry. Personally, I'm going to preorder these in waves - all the April stuff at once, and see if it actually ships in April.- 2451 replies

The fact that their "1/72" stuff is "Robotech 1/72" so is essentially all 1/60 for Macross means that I'm going whole hog on all their non-VF releases (though I do have a few of their VFs, which are pretty alright, and very cheap in the US market)- 2451 replies

The Light and Heavy missile battle pods have been rereleased at a stellar price for such massive toys. The Glaug and Recon pods are officially up for preorder, too.- 2451 replies

May I ask how the best way for someone in the USA to order Arcadia stuff brand new? I want to make sure I do not miss out on the SDF-1.

in a previous page there were pics of an upcoming non-PF reissue from a few months back. I don't have any version of the 1/3000 SDF-1 so I am wondering if anyone has heard any news on it, as I'd like to get one without having to pay secondary market markup

Just saw in Amazon US that the HI-METAL R VF-1J Armored Valkyrie is back down to $84.13 https://a.co/d/7MP5iGD

Has anyone seen any news on the 1/3000 DYRL SDF-1 reissue? Thanks!
