  1. It's looking awesome !
  2. I would add that even though the Republic has X-Wings patrolling here and there in the outer rim. I think they have even less of a grip on Tatooine than the Empire there, when there was a garrison of Storm troopers stationed there. And even then , Tatooine ( and the outer rim) was pretty lawless. I think you're right on that first part. Or maybe I'm just being hopeful.
  3. Indeed. Scribing in panel lines can be quite intimidating. You may notice the gray putty on my Lancer . Those are panel lines i flubbed or hated. But, re scribing existing or faded lines is usually much easier, as there's usually a faint line for your blade to follow, at least.
  4. Thanks again. Yes , it's always been vague, at best. It's a wonder they never took a factory with them. But actually I'm very curious about the Oberth and Northampton vessels. I know it's very much guess work. Um ya.
  5. Great episode! Ok many thoughts and impressions, but I'll just throw my 2 cents at a few points.. I very much enjoyed the pacing of this episode, i felt there was a healthier balance to and fro. And I'm liking the Naboo fighter more and more.
  6. Thanks @no3Ljm , much appreciated. Every bit helps !
  7. Glad to see you back at it @pengbuzz thats a fine kit to get into ! The missiles are easy to remove, like the shoulders , just don't glue them. I've got my kit ready for putty and sanding. Unfortunately it's about 3 kits down the queue . And on that note, a little update on the Spider Bug. It's close to finished. Needs waterslides and some touch up/ light weathering. Then I'll glue the large center arm and top mounted radar. I drilled and glued pins into the 4 sockets and drilled holes into the ball joints of the arms for pose ability and ease of storage. Aaaaannd the Lancer. It's cleaned up a bit more . Some color and i added some panel lines, as the original mold seems a little spars on details. Although it's pretty spot on with the line art. So no complaints, i just wanted more. Here's before . And here's after with a few more panel lines. Notice I've added a small , custom , removable mount to the top side . Sandwiched between the angled thruster mount and the fuselage. That is for this.. Super Lancer in the house ! We know that the Bandai 1/72 is a tad smaller than the Hasegawa. At least for the supers. This works well , IMO , as the supers don't overwhelm the Lancer, in size. Bare in mind the Lancer has very long canons mounted to the front and thrusters to the rear. Both not yet shown. So, more putty and sanding , for a bit and then back to panel lining and coloring. That's all for now. See you next Deculture, Space cowboy. Folding out !⚡️
  8. I know there's little info. But.. The Megaroad-01 fleet consisted of Zentradi and Spacy vessels. Does anyone know what the fleet composition was. Or, at least, what additional ARMD's or Carriers accompanied the Megaroad. Still curious about the launch arms and VF deployment and receiving bays..
  9. Ok. Thanks for following up on that ! I don't need to waste more time looking up stuff that isn't useful. I'll dig into my old collection of rt rpg books. I was already considering those, as I'm quite desperate. Lol. Cheers !
  10. Yes. Thanks. I've taken to rewatching sdfm and DYRL for (scant) details . Thanks very much for those links ! Edit: I can't remember the name of those books that publish deck plans for various space faring vessels. Though it's fan based and not official, they could provide some insight. Especially considering mine will ultimately be fan based as well.
  11. I've been doing a lot of hangar studies for an upcoming diorama project. There isn't much of the SDF-1 Macross or Megaroad in terms of line art. Online. If you have any more links for such @sketchley , that would be most helpful !
  12. Bandai Factor.
  13. So no info on some of this ..? Some of it was kinda answered..
  14. You clearly haven't been paying attention to the new Bio -Roid project @captain america is working on..😉
  15. Captain Kirk and Han Solo arm wrestling is awesome. I wonder who's gonna shoot first..
  16. That came out nice. I don't have a 3d printer, but appreciate your sharing of files. I always wondered how that thing would look attached in fighter mode..
  17. So the launch arms we see in DYRL. Are they also meant for retrieving VF's into the ARMD ? And didn't the SDF-1 have the means to launch and receive Aircraft independent from the Carrier arms? I take that as a given. But where are they located. I know we see returning vf's entering the bow (vents) port and starboard, in SDFM. I always wondered if that was true to the line art or one of the many sub contracted studio flubs. And , I believe, we also see vf's landing on the deck / main guns in ship mode. And the opening credits show elevators (from said deck?) loading and launching vf's. But in trying to place the various hangars and launching/receiving locations for aircraft throughout the Macross, it gets a bit confusing. edit. Well @twich you beat me to it lol.
  18. That looks great @derex3592. Ya been eye ballin my own work bench set up as well. Definitely needs an upgrade 👍🏼
  19. Curious to know about that one.
  20. Articulation on this is amazing ! You constantly impress Cap'n !
  21. Spoiler alert.. Great episode. Though obviously more of a Mandalorian episode. I loved seeing more of Din Djarin . BUT.. some pet peeves. Obviously the Mandalorians are divided , in more ways than one, across the Galaxy. The particular sect associated win Din are annoying. Some of their "ways" don't jive with me. But whatever, they certainly aren't the first or only Mando's to be as such. On another note. Talk about cameos.! The day of a thousand tears looked like a scene from a terminator movie. The Naboo star fighter is more than likely from TPM . I preferred the Razor Crest, but a Naboo Fighter is cool. And it's a screamer OMG !! And I'm curious to know how R5 ended up with Pelli Moto. Maybe from Obi-Wan..And the cryogenic density combustion booster the Jawas produced, is right out of the trash compactor in ANH. Lol. (Not as long maybe) . And it looks like we'll be getting more Grogu in the Mandalorian.. All in all I enjoyed it.
