    From what I've seen and read. Many references to M+ and, of cours Megaroad-01. I appreciate trying to tie it all together, but.. There are several gaps and inconsistencies. Oh ya, right! It's Macross! I think it was better when we didn't know certain things..

    Just to keep this conversation in the proper place.. The new VF-31AX may still not surpass the VF-24. But we aren't getting that info just yet.. ""The modifications push the VF-31 airframe to its limit but only really improve it enough to rival the performance of the VF-27."" That's a veritable improvement! Production wise , I consider the VF-27 to be pretty high end. Although, maybe it's not a "production " model , as Galaxy were the main producers and users of the VF-27. And on that note, the drones Galaxy was using in Frontier. Were those also mostly or solely deployed by Galaxy?

    Which makes me think he bank rolled it himself. With good connections. Regardless of the debate. He has one fine YF-29. And on that note, do we know it can outperform a VF-24 ? Probably. But leave it to Earth and they will inject a few VF-24's with some ante upping improvements. Once the YF-29 cat was out of the bag. my thoughts exactly.

    That's my thought, just wondering what the in universe explanation is. No explanation is very Kawamori. Starting with the YF-25, everything else is a derivative of the YF-24.. Agreed. And yet Frontier is enjoying the same musical success ( even more, IMO) , except the Frontier anime is way better. Point being, Delta could have been just as good or better, without needing to exist as a vehicle for Walkure music touring the Islands.

    Over sized foot size may be necessary for balance. The price is right for this little chunker.

    I would hope we're done with wanna be ISB. He brought the empire into the mix directly, he served his purpose, as far as writing goes. At most , i could see him becoming a vigilante or an outlaw seeking revenge. At this point. Of course he would die. But there's plenty of other interesting stuff to get into with this series..

    Hmm Bandai is just being a bit redundant with designs and hopping scales..

    I suppose Arcadia could re release the Yammy YF-21. But that doesn't seem to be their style, IMO. Sure they did it with the VF-4, kinda. But for something like the YF-21, I think they would put out a new design.
