So then is this the Alto YF-29..? If so, they would do the VF-27 to compliment. As the YF-19 and YF-21 compliment each other.

I'm curious to see the components that make up your kit. Chances are beyond a shadow of a doubt that yours is easier to assemble. And with tighter tolerances than the resin beast I'm currently dabbling with. As far as the VT-1 conversion, I'm assuming some parts from the Hasegawa kit (which I'd be borrowing from, based on what you do and don't 3d model) might help. I can't help but wonder if the boosters are going to look too high ,perched over the radar. The legs could be bashed off a battroid or gerwalk Hase (sacrilege!) , but whatever 3d input you are inspired to do could really save hacking up other kits. This is mostly exploratory right now, as I'm spending my time just trying to make the main hull look right and still be able to open for viewing the interior..

I'm totally in agreement here . If anyone wants to see more variants , then Arcadia needs to get the message loud and clear that there's a demand for the mold. Take one (or two!) for the team

I'd love to see the breakdown on parts for this kit ! I'm considering kit bashing the legs myself, the hardest part would be finding another set of bunny feet, or sacrifice the only set i have. Firstly, I've got to see just how the legs look on this , in real life. Could be silly. About the booster attachments, i wonder the same thing, as they have to mount above the radar..

Lol. I believe these films will be new content. Not a reboot. They are definitely going for the (previously successful) franchise dollars. I'm hoping the Animated film, coming next year, is good.

My favorite was definitely the Yamato 1/48 Low Vis. Loved the realistic look. Kinda regret letting that particular one go! Second would be the Yamato 1/48 Stealth. I still have that one. With a custom 1A head. Third would be the 1/48 urban camo GPB, i let that one go too. -
Ah so. Thanks for that @Urashiman 👍🏼 I just checked my stencils, out of curiosity . Here's the two (that i have) side by side. The stencils on the left look closer to the "Blue Roses" pattern, IMO. I Couldn't find the original zip lock with label, and I don't recall what it's called, though. As you can see , I've used them once, already. Flecktarn (at least that's what Fallout Hobbies is calling it) is the unused set on the right(obviously).

Thanks @wm cheng ! My next VF-4 (i have a second Hobbyexpro) will be the "Blue Roses" scheme . What do you call this camo pattern "flek tarn"? I've got the stencils already and the water slides. The Wave kit looks pretty good, I'll admit. But I'm such a monogamous Hasegawa fan, that I'd buy that one first 😆. Plus i still have a Retppu and Musasiya VF-4 ,each in 1/72. So.. no hurry for the Wave. Lol. Yes! It was offered here on MW several years ago. In multiple scales. And even painted , as an option! I'm really keen to see if anyone went that route. For mine, I'll probably do something different ( for me) and stick really close to the original DYRL paint scheme.

Lol. I haven't gotten around to seeing TROP yet. So Galadriel is still epic , in my mind. I'm gonna have to see it though AND re read the Silmarlion . If only to speculate which era/ stories Might be made into a new trilogy now . Let the speculation begin!

A little update on the workbench. Not as far along as i was planning. But , due to the massive power outages in Cali, i was literally in the dark for two days. Lol. Luckily i have a generator (country living!) but I only powered the necessities (sorry workbench!). Nevertheless, i was able to make some daylight progress on the Bunny.. These are supposed to be left and right spacers. I think i got two port side spacers Lots of test fitting , shaving and sanding. And I don't feel like I've even started.. There's tons of room for led's , I'm thinking a few of the landing and navigation lights ((down the road) , this is going to be a very involved project ! 😅 Here's a partial mock up ,so you can see where this is going. Also you can see how the 1/72 scale matches up to the Hobbyexpro VF-4. I'll have more details and (hopefully) progress over the coming weekend. New Lord Of The Rings movies coming! Not a reboot. Scant details, but exploring more of Tolkien's world.
